I remember when i was in elementary school (2nd grade), i was forced to participate and act in a school play about "The Nativity Story". I told the teachers that i did not want to be in it because it was not what i believed in, but she said if i dont participate i will get an F in my class.

***
The school was in Tampa, Florida. I moved there for a year because of my parents' business. I was the only chinese person in the whole school.

lets say that you believed evolution to be true. is the reason why evolution so controversial because it will prove the bible is wrong? not even about god creating the earth but because of the age of the earth itself? i dont wanna try to sound like im dissing religion but i wanna know why it is bad to be taught in the first place

Instead of "One Nation Under God," we should change it to "One Nation Under Freedom" Jesus and his stupid bible has no place in modern society. I believe that anyone who inject religion in government should be punished and sent to a camp for tolerance training.

What do you do while you are awake at night, besides Yahoo Answers?
I have bad insomnia and don't go to bed generally until 6 or 8 in the morning, every morning.
Sometimes I crash cuz I'm so exhausted and sleep all day long (like today). But I cannot sleep at night. Too much to do and too much in my mind, and it's my only peaceful time to myself since I'm a stay at home mother.

While most other countries in the world (including Islamic states) with majority of any known religion allows every faith to have their own temples, churches, mosques, gurudwaras and practice their own religion, these people do not allow other religions to preach, and probably except Christianity they do not allow others to even practice. !

While in one hand Islam says "let there be no compulsion in religion" in the other hand they compel people to not practice or preach.

Why is it so, are they afraid that people will convert ? Can someone give me a logical answer, because I am stating a fact here.

If you're a christian then Christ is your guide and example. Well Christ said in Matthew 19:4-5 "that in the beginning they were made male and female, and for this reason a man shall cleave to his wife." Well, according to evolution man was made at the end of the time-scale, not the beginning! So how can a christian believe in evolution? it's not biblical. I don't think God could have made it more clear in the bible, His word choice over and over says the same thing. Are we going to stand on the bible (the ideas of God) or the ideas of man?

question on first corintians chapter 15:41.
my pastor was talking about this verse as different types of resurrection. even though all the believer shall arise from the dead, as this verse indicates we shall resurrect different form.
My pastor speaks about glory of the sun meant
resurrection of our Lord Jesus. Another glory
means christians that will resurrect according to their work. Does resurrection happens instanly?
My pastor coincide this verse as a shameful resurrection. some would resurrect with glory and others would not. confused on resurrection and reward. please clarify. thank you.

I'm not aware of any other religion outside of Christianity, Judaism, Muslims that actually believe in a Satan.
So I'm assuming (wrongfully?) that Satan is exclusive to those that accept the Bible as "word."
Assuming that the Bible is true, why would anyone after reading the Book of Revelations decide to become a Satanist? He loses the war according to this book, so why would anyone take his side?

I've been to some of the Satanist sites and some claim that they don't really believe in a Satan, etc. I understood their concept, but I'm addressing the ones that write 666 and praise Satan.

BTW, I'm leaning a degree more toward atheist than I am agnostic.

My unlce he passed yesterday..he had been saved days before that. He was not in his right mind at the time because he had cancer and it was in his brain which made him not so alert and very confused. When he prayed with the preacher, how do I know that he knew what he was doing? I don't. I want so badly to know he is in a better place.

I have never been a real Christian. I mean I think I beleive, but at the same time I havent lived as I do, if that makes sense? So bear with me if I do not know alot.

When loved ones die do they go straight to heaven or do they go to a purgatory (waiting room)? What happens to their souls?

Some people beleive that the brain is matter and once it is non fucntional it is dead therefore no longer exists. I disagree, I think there is a soul that powers that body. Not matter. The soul of the person, does it stay here with us?

This may sound weird, but I was with him until his last breath. I FELT him with us after that.
