While most other countries in the world (including Islamic states) with majority of any known religion allows every faith to have their own temples, churches, mosques, gurudwaras and practice their own religion, these people do not allow other religions to preach, and probably except Christianity they do not allow others to even practice. !

While in one hand Islam says "let there be no compulsion in religion" in the other hand they compel people to not practice or preach.

Why is it so, are they afraid that people will convert ? Can someone give me a logical answer, because I am stating a fact here.

They think that they are the one and only true religion, and so everybody should believe the way that they do or they should die. That's the truth.
Pretty much, believe the way that they do or you're not allowed on "their land".
Right now the extremists are trying to make "their land" the whole world, and then they'll try to force everybody into believing the way that they do.

straight forward. Saudi Arabia isn't a free usa. there is not any separation of church (mosque) and state. Islam is the state faith by way of their regulation. no longer all muslim international places have this unfair regulation. I agree that it really is a double established. yet i imagine different different international places are frightened of Saudi Arabia because they are so wealthy, sensible, and they administration a good purchase of oil. it really is a shame. If human beings there and elsewhere were no longer afraid and had the flexibility to do something about it, which will be impressive. i'm hoping that sometime issues will substitute, yet i do no longer carry my breath on that one.

Well nobody likes competition. Monopoly is better if it belongs to you. In Turkey you can be a Cristian but the minute you try to convert others you are committing a crime.(insulting the Prophet)
To them they are doing the right thing they are protecting there Prophet. To us its wrong since we believe in freedom for all religions. One thing that Muslims believe is that islam is to rule the earth. Im taking about a world Caliphate. Not to say that some muslims dont believe in separation of Church and state. The extremists dont and are willing to kill for that belief.

Yes you are right about Saudi. The USA allied Royal Family of Saud are in charge of a theocracy that is against democracy. Without the support of the Imam the ruling family would be deposed. So guess what, Saudi Arabia has the strictest interpretation of Sharia in the whole middle east. They behead people for many crimes, their courts are governed by clerics who decide cases by divine right, there are no elections and rule is by the hereditary divine right of kings. Do not forget that they are tied with Israel as the USA's most important Allie in the middle east campaign to spread democracy at the muzzle of a gun.

There is no separation of religion and state in Islam. The two go hand in hand with each other and neither are regarded as separate spheres; in other words, Islam permeates every aspect of a Mulim's life.

As for conversion, Islam prohibits conversion from Islam to another religion.

Third, why would you want to go to Saudi Arabia?

I gave you some facts, but you deleted your question?

Why?

You asked the same question, now added "Saudi Arabia"?

Anyway, I'm reposting my answer:

Islam doesn't forbid to coexist with non-Muslims. It also doesn't forbid non-Muslims to enjoy their religious rights. I have a Shariah book, and I'm quoting the rights of non-Muslims (Christians, Jews and others) in a Muslim country;

1. It is not permissible to hurt them.
2. It is not permissible to harm their properties.
3. Using abusive and derogatory words towards them is not allowed.
4. Keeping harmony and justice while criticizing them.
5. If anyone of them falls into life threatening situation, it is must for a Muslim to rescue him/her.
6. Helping them in difficult situations.
7. If a non-Muslim commits crime, arranging punishment for him/her with justness.
8. No racism is allowed towards them.
9. They can take part in all basic rights freely, they can share their opinions and can join businesses. They will be given full rights of democracy.

If you find something otherwise than posted above, it would be either propaganda, or ignorant speech.

No Muslim should be afraid that a Muslim might convert. A true practicing Muslim would never convert to other faiths.

In Saudi Arabia, lots of Christians and non-Muslims work, and live. It is not that Saudi Govt. disallows churches to be made, rather Saudi Arabia is vastly a Muslim country, living a Christian life could be difficult. It heavily enjoins living Islamic life. That's why Christians prefer not to live there.

EDIT: There is freedom of religion in Saudi Arabia, but how many non-Muslims are there to enjoy the rights? More than 99% of the population are Muslims. If non-Muslims feel inconvenient to live there, they can go to some other countries. There is absolutely no need to criticize how non-Muslims are dealt with where overwhelming majority are Muslims.

because Saudi Arabia is ruled by dictators and they want their people to keep in darkness and if any person questions their authority, his/her head rolled down or hands chopped off.they don't believe in the saying let a hundred flowers bloom let a thousand schools of thought contend.the only reason i can furnish is women will revolt and question the sanctity of triple talak ,polygamy. bharateeya Vedanta believes in tamasoma jyothirgamaya.(from darkness to light}but Islamic clerics want their followers to keep eternally in darkness.in countries like India, one can lead a normal life without any threat from any body like an atheist, communist. but one can not think of it in Islamic countries.an atheist can marry a theist and lead life happily but it is not allowed there.

Why Building of Temples and Churches, and Propagating Other Religions, is Prohibited in Saudi Arabia?

Q. Why is building of temples and churches and the propagation of any religion other than Islam not allowed in Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia?

A. 1. Example of selecting a Maths teacher:

Suppose you are a principal of a school and you have to select a Mathematics teacher. It is obvious that you will interview the candidates. If one teacher says that 2 + 2 = 3, the other says 2 + 2 = 4 and the third says 2 + 2 = 5 whom will you select? Since you know mathematics is logical, you will never select or allow a person to teach mathematics who doesn’t even know the basics of arithmetic that 2 + 2 = 4.

2. Where religion is concerned Muslims are experts:

Similarly in the field of religion, Muslims are the best and Qur’an clearly mentions in Surah Ale Imran, Chapter 3, verse 19 (3:19):

“The Religion before Allah is Islam (submission to His will)”. [Al-Qur’an 3:19]

It is further mentioned In Surah Ale Imran Chapter 3, verse 85 (3:85)

“If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good).” [Al-Qur’an 3:85]

3. No other religious scripture claims that its religion alone is true.

There is no other religious scripture on the face of the earth besides the Qur’an which says that only its religion is true, correct and acceptable to Almighty God, and that all the other religions are false and hence not acceptable to Almighty God.

If you are a school principal who knows Maths, you will never allow a person to teach Maths in your school who does not know Maths. Similarly Muslims, who are experts in the field of religion and know that Islam is the only true religion, will not allow anyone in the country of Saudi Arabia to preach any other religion besides Islam. Muslims also know that what the true concept of Almighty God i.e. Allah (SWT) is, and thus we will not permit anyone to build, in the country of Saudi Arabia, a place of worship where they worship anyone besides Allah (swt).

And Allah Knows Best.
