I've been a smoker for about ten years, and recently I started going to church, I also was a marijuanna smoker but I quit because I was tired of feeling lost in my life and not being able to function, so I prayed and asked God to take it away from me and I've been clean for about 5yrs now, I haven't had the desire for it and I feel better about myself. I go to church and I want to do what's right but I feel I'm being held up by still smoking cigarettes but sometimes I feel like I just can't let it go. Is it all in my mind?

I don't necessarily want to convert to any religion in particular. I rather enjoy picking at the spiritual buffet here and there and getting all the good bits from each. I am curious about the guys on tv who convert to islam and then go super radical and aledgedly go bomb places or sumthing like that. Is there like a step by to becoming a muslim for converters or do just have to start praying, dressing differently and grow a beard? Any insights into this would great.

I know that you like to use that phrase in 2Timothy that the bible was inspired by God.

But the thing is the only scripture that the Jews and "christian"(they were still jews back then) used was the Torah/Tanakh.

So what make you believe that the New testament was "God inspired"?

My husband and I have been going to the same church for 13 years. We love the church but have seen the attendance drop from about 200 to 100 over the last two years. We can see some problems that we'd like to talk to our Pastor about but are nervous about the approach. We would like to introduce a Marriage/Family Enrichment class. Does anyone have any good programs that we can take to our Pastor to look at?
Also, what are some programs you would be looking for if you were to walk into a new church this Sunday?

Mav likes the idea of 'Family Home Evening'
What do you do during your Family Home Evening?

Mavs family has "Family Game/Movie Night"
The Mav's all get their jammies on, play games, watch movies, eat pizza. The Mav's can have people over, but we all have to be together!

I have been married for 2 years. I love my husband very much and I thank Allah everytime I make dua for letting me meet my husband and for finding Islam. When I met my husband he was just my boss at work and we became friends. I wasn't Muslim and after work we would go get coffee and talk about religion, politics and other things as friends. After about 3 months of knowing him I converted to Islam and he was happy for me, he was a good Muslim at the time. But after 1 year of being married, he has started to do haram things. He is constantly flirting with girls online, not praying, he has made jokes sometimes that he is Christian (he stopped because when he was joking like that, he got very sick and had to go to the hospital and he knew it was punishment from Allah) constantly starting fights with me when I point out what he is doing is against Allah
Any advice on how to get back my pious husband who I fell in love with? Any discriminatory questions will be ignored.
Thank you..

i have a question about late term abortions---- what kind of condition would a woman need to have a late term abortion?
i have heard of many women that their life was in danger to continue a pregnancy but the doctors would put them in premature labor and try to save the baby. so can u tell me that if a womans life is at risk y can't they do that?
late term abortions are more dangerous than just continuing with the pregnancy and having he baby, because they have to deliver the baby breech which has its own danger, along with many others or if they perfom a saline abortion, then that could also hurt the woman. so tell me when a late term abortion is necessary?

The gorgeous librarian, is here right now. She is sitting in front
of a computer, and eyeing me occasionally. The odd thing is,
when I first came in, she stared at me. And started whispering
with her co- worker like she always does whenever I walk in.
So what is on her mind ? What is she thinking ? She stares
at me constantly, when she walks to the bookshelf. Is she trouble
or a good girl ? Does she have a thing for me ? The best
answer gets 10 points immediately. Good luck.

I know we are living in the end times...I just need to know if there is anything else that needs to take place for Jesus to return that hasn't happen yet? Matthew 24 is an important chapter concerning Christ's return...does anyone know if there is something that still needs to be fulfilled or did everything that needs to happen already take place? BTW..I believe in a pre-trib rapture.

I was once sitting at home, in my living room and alone, when I suddenly had this huge impulse to laugh at how amazing yet ridiculous this world is. I felt immediately that I was one with everything, the plants, the trees, the people in the world. I felt that even if I suffered it did not matter, because there are people who are happy in the world.

For me, this was an important spiritual thing for me. But I'm just wondering what you guys think.

Why did god make adam and eve, even though he knew they would sin???( they bible says that he knows our life path before we did). Okay so some people might say he wanted to give us the choice- but he knew they would choose to do wrong. Why not make an adam and eve that wouldn't sin, therefore creating a peaceful world instead of one that has greed, hate, lust etc
