I figured I'd ask this again since there is a big Christian crowd on today. I asked a question about why we have to ask forgiveness for sinning if we have no choice but to sin because the bible says we all will. I was told that we have free will to sin or not. The problem is that the bible specifically says that no matter what we do, we can't live a life without sin. We all have to sin at some point. Free will would give us the choice to either sin or not sin, so in what sense do we have free will if we have no choice but to sin?? Can you enlighten me please??

Why is it that Christians, Jews, and others laugh at jokes made at their expense, but whenever anyone says anything even slightly humorous about Muslims, they riot in the streets and start killing people?

Why are you here? Why do you come to R&S --really, the real reason. Is it to try to get christians upset? We do not take anything you say personally- and we actually pray for you. But I am curious to know the REAL reason you come here- are you hoping to find some truth about God? Or do you just believe in relegion? Why is it you come here and are so profane. It is more sad than anything- and I honestly hope and pray that your heart will be softened one day to the truth of God. Or else why would you be here?

I think it is just a way to control people and scare them into conforming. Just wondering what you believe hell is like if you believe in it.

I never really thought about it till yesterday. I was reading a text message and I almost completely drifted into another lane. Everyone talks about cell phone usage as dangerous... but what about not talking on the phone...but what about texting. don't you think this poses a higher risk?

even BIBLE SCHOLARS acknowledge that it is/has been

altered
re-written
mis-interpreted
re-interpreted
mis-translated
re-translated
books left out
books added in
changed
and mis-construed

so why... when we KNOW this book has been "messed with" so much.. why do we still take it as the "word of god" do we really think the true word of God would come in the form of a book that MANY a man has had a chance to alter.

God is in your heart and soul. Why do people still thump on the bible as credible??

This comes to you via my 10 year old daughter. Shes a deep thinker.

She asked me the other day, after watching a show about twinning, what would happen during rapture if one person, in a set of conjoined twins was saved, and the other one was not, how would God do that? Would the unsaved one get a free pass? I didnt really know how to answer her amusing question, so what do you think?

What makes your religion the correct answer? Looking back at history, all ages of man believed in different gods. What makes you think you are not in the middle of a "religoius scenario" that has existed a thousand years ago?

I was reading a friends blog, and found that as a result of her asking questions she was seen as not a believer. Dont you think if indeed there is a god, knowing him, or her would be about asking questions. Just wondering.. And dont say that religion dosent do that. Where does the term god works in mysterious ways, this to justify our reasoning for not questioning.. And the church tells you to not question god. Well I think that it is very thing we should do
What do you think?

Do you think you will be blasphemying Him as you do now? Those who are blasphemous towards Him. Really think about it- There will be a day when you stand before God- and He will judge you. Does that at all concern you? Seriously....

I am very into spirituality and trying to make the best of my life....I do everything with kindness and happiness...For the past year an a half I have been extremely happy and even though everything wasn't perfect, I was content with the events of my life....I understand bad things happen to everyone but I always overcame them...For the past month or so I have been experiencing one bad thing after another and I don't know why? I keep doing nice things to hopefully turn it back around on myself but I just keep loosing. I keep asking for help from angels and God but nothing is working...What can I do? I am such a positive person but it scares me to say this is depressing my life....please help

Americans say "God bless America". What if people in Iraq say "God bless Iraq". (I am using Iraq as an example. I know their believes are different and they might worship a different kind of god). Who is God going to bless?

Same thing happens in sports. Everybody wants to win. Who is God going to favor?

I just find it interesting that there're more and more church like this nowadays. They took the part of the bible that they don't like, and take what they like. The luke warm church think that when you're discerning you're judging.

Rev. 3:15-16 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,[a] I will vomit you out of My mouth.

Will you guys answer a question for me? Why is aborting a baby, killing it, and throwing the aborted baby in a trash can ok but having an abortion and using the embryo to enrich a less fortunate persons life so frowned upon? These girls are choosing to have abortions, why not use the tools at hand? I don't understand. I know a lot of you are going to tell me how horrible abortions and stem cell reasarch is but wait until you have a loved one with Parkinsons Disease or a loved one who got into a freak accident and is paralyzed. Trust me, you're mind changes real fast.

As David Starkey the British historian pointed out: Islam still hasn't had a Reformation let alone an Enlightenment, and they treat their religion with the same kind of passion that we did when we burnt heretics.
