Why are you here? Why do you come to R&S --really, the real reason. Is it to try to get christians upset? We do not take anything you say personally- and we actually pray for you. But I am curious to know the REAL reason you come here- are you hoping to find some truth about God? Or do you just believe in relegion? Why is it you come here and are so profane. It is more sad than anything- and I honestly hope and pray that your heart will be softened one day to the truth of God. Or else why would you be here?

I don't try to get Christians upset. I come hear to talk about and get peoples opinion on religion. That is why I am here. Am I so profane or is that a "general" statement? My heart has softened to those I think are duped into myth. I mean no disrespect. But we do have opposing opinions.
This is a R and S board. So the "topic" of R&S is discussed not necessarily promoted or agreed upon.
As I must work with so many believers and associate and even risk my life alongside them, I seek to understand them more. That is why I am here. Why are you here?
BTW I like your question.

I come here because I can. I find it fascinating that, as a collective, you all generally believe in the same thing, yet the way you interpret it is sooo different from one another.

I also find it entertaining how ignorant many of you 'believers' are in terms of your own beliefs and what you think is true. Some of you don't even know your own faith. In fact, many of the atheists here can run rings around believers in their own faiths.

With that said, I also come here to debate, debunk and sometimes even demean people for their beliefs. Let's face it, some of you are dumb as posts, spouting off some of the things you do. And that isn't directed to just believers. There are some pretty stupid unbelievers here, too. But my focus is on the fundie xian thumpers who not only come here looking for trouble, they demand it.

On a side note, I have every right to be here, just as you do. And as long as I don't get nasty with my comments, I can say what ever it is I want (within the scope of the TOS).

Oh, and I have no interest or curiosity in god as I am sure the probability of god's existence is pretty nil.

Your question is dishonest on its face. Just because some people here don't believe in your God doesn't mean they don't practise or know religion. The arrogance and tenor of your statements belie the truth behind your judgements. Many people believe in a Deity or Deities. That does not make them any less qualified to speak on the subject of religion. Shame on you for being so dishonest and frankly so purile in your thinking.

Its not the Christianity category. Anyone from any religion, or anyone spiritual qualifys for the category.

Cant atheism be a religion? By defintion, religion is merely: something one believes in and follows devotedly; a point or matter of ethics or conscience

Atheists count.

I come here because I like to annoy Christians. Its fun and highly amusing. I find it amazing that the religion you supposedly believe in 100% cannot even answer the simplest questions.

Oy vey...this answer has been asked soooooo many times (And been answered so many times) that it's not worth the time. If you are really curious, and not just being a confrontational prick, do a search on Yahoo for all the other thousands of times this has been asked.

We have just as much right to access this section of the site as any of you deluded brain washed numpties. Personally, I'm fascinated why you have decided to believe in one fairy tale rather than millions of others. Or do you also believe in fairies and goblins?

I am here for fun.

I am here for the pleasure of making theists squirm... making them uncomfortable in some way, shape or form. It is retribution for the years of low-level suffering I have gone through at the hands of christianity.... which, ironically enough, is how I learnt not to suffer any more by defying the capability.

I come here because I get bored at work...and I want to see the insane stuff you christians talk about..it really makes me laugh that people in this world are that close minded to reality.
