Americans say "God bless America". What if people in Iraq say "God bless Iraq". (I am using Iraq as an example. I know their believes are different and they might worship a different kind of god). Who is God going to bless?
Same thing happens in sports. Everybody wants to win. Who is God going to favor?

God does not bless any earthly nation. How could he, when the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one, Satan the devil? Would he give his blessing to nations when they are engaged in warfare against each other, causing death and suffering, including taking the lives of innocent men, women and children? The answer is no.
Satan is in complete control of all governments and false religion. His time is running out and he knows it. His destruction will occur soon, in God's due time. The nations and all false religion,which is under his control, will suffer the same fate. They will be put out of existance.
The only nation which has God's blessing is not a physical nation, but a spiritual nation and it is called spiritual Israel or the Israel of God, made up of a "little flock" of anointed ones who are awarded life as co-rulers with Jesus in his Father's heavenly government.

OK here is the truth. God will bless America over Irac if for no other reason than America is behind Israel and Irac is against Israel. NO one against Israel will be blessed by God. and the God they pray to is a false god anyhow, so he can't do anything anyway. God is definately not going to bless America because it is such a spiritual country. on the contrary God is appaled by the murder of millions of babies and all the sodomy and so many more sins that run rampant in America. The question is Why should God bless America???? We (As a Country) do nothing for him, but continue to go aginst him in every new law we make.

good Question,The Bible says we are not of this world, once we are saved by Christs Blood, so it does seem kind of oxymoron to have conflicting prayers, which only serve the individual needs of someone who wants something to benefit themselves, does God really care who wins the football game?probably not. However he loves us all, no matter what, I think it would be best to pray for things that are in Gods will, things that serve him or bettering humanity.God Bless all
