I was once sitting at home, in my living room and alone, when I suddenly had this huge impulse to laugh at how amazing yet ridiculous this world is. I felt immediately that I was one with everything, the plants, the trees, the people in the world. I felt that even if I suffered it did not matter, because there are people who are happy in the world.

For me, this was an important spiritual thing for me. But I'm just wondering what you guys think.

It was just an epiphany, an "aha" moment. You could also call it presque vu (a relative of deja vu), which means almost seen.

In zen, it would be referred to as catching a glimpse of the ox's footprints.

I would consider it more of a spiritual experience than a religious one, but it can be whatever you want it to be.

I wouldn't call it religious. Spiritual maybe, but certainly not religious. I too find the world absolutely ridiculous, and I kind of feel that I'm not really human. I mean, I look like one, but I don't seem to think like them. But I hate religion. Religions are just bad. They make no sense and they're not funny. Priests, worshippers, churches, bibles, all funny. Religion? Nah.

Not religious, but definitely spiritual. I think that it's a realization that we get when we are on the right path. There should be that feeling of oneness in all of us. I think we'd be allot nicer to each other anyways. :) my 2 cents that's all.

No offense, but the only time I ever laughed out loud for no reason and felt "one" with the earth...I had smoked a lot of weed.

Congradulations, your level of consciousness just jumped up a level or two. Its very important, your world will never be the same again.
