Science can exist without religion but sadly that doesn't work the other way around.

If it wasn't for technological advances in science I doubt we would have long fruitful lives that we do now.

Please don't say if it wasn't for "god" than we wouldn't even exist. I am not "attacking god" I am "attacking" mainstream religion.

What is the point of religion in the modern world?

People behave not because they are bound to by religion but the fact that society have laws and regulations to punish evil deeds on earth. Not wait for some firery pit to deal with the criminals.

What is the point of religion?

To go to heaven seriously now, I think that is a way humanity tries to make themselves immortal because they can't come to terms with dying.

Scientologists, creationists, evangelicals, baptists. I could go on. In the UK, the majority of people I know (and indeed the country) have no religion.
I think it is because we live in the 21st century. Come on America, wake up and smell the reality of the 21st century.

I picked up the bible as a "textbook" but it said that bats were birds!

I also notice that when Lucifer took Me up to a very high hill to tempt me before My crucifixion, we could see "all the Kingdoms of Earth" which would indicate a flat earth.

So, all those books about space and orbits are fibs too?

Some Christians dislike Muslims, and some Muslims dislike Christians, some Christians dislike Wiccans and other things like that. I think it's wrong, but I was just wondering what you guys thought.

(and I mean SOME too, please do not think I'm generalizing)

Also, are any religions evil or just wrong about God?

"The righteous do righteousnes for God, and there own benefit"

Something on those grounds , forgive me in not too sure ; what exactly are the words or in what order.

I have a hunch the scripture quote is somewhere in the Book of Job The Servant of The Lord.

It was those times when our country was polarized by political bickerings. The church can't resist taking side and it was them who made that quote. If there's any grain of truth to the quote does this mean that if popular voice happens to be leaning more towards evil that God Himself is evil? I think there's a flaw in that quote somewhere. What do you think?
