Sorry but the comment that Christianity is originated from paganism because of the modern day holidays is ridiculous, It is true that holidays such as Christmas are partly pagan rituals but that is not due to Christianity having pagan origins it is due to the indigenous population being pagan before Christianity arrived.
Many 'pagan holidays' happen around winter for a good reason, it was a harder time to survive during winter for obvious reasons(if you find long dark cold nights depressing now imagine how it was for people centuries ago)

As for the original question I don't know, I guess you could argue all religions come from paganism, the same as you could also argue that there is no god or gods and its all just a load of crp created by man to make him feel more important.....personally I do believe in god, but the god I believe in sees us all the same, unfortunately like a bunch of naughty children we are constantly trying to out do each other for attention and forget, as you love your children the same, so does god.

Islam was the religion of Abraham because Islam and Abraham preached that God is One. Abraham did not worship Jesus, and Muslims are like Abraham.

Islam is the true religion of all the Prophets from Adam to Muhammed(Peace be upon them all*). Everyone is born a Muslim, it is the parents who make the children a Muslim, Jew, or Christian. Islam is the only accepted religion of ALLAH and no other religion will be accepted by him. Islam promotes peace. Paganism is like Wicca.

It is true that Ishmael was the son of a union between Abraham and Hagar, but if one reads Genesis 12.1-3 where god promises to make the lineage of Ishmael (Muhammad (saws) and the arabs) a great nation. If God wanted nothing of this union he wouldnt have provided a spring of water for them to survive.

As for this notion that Abraham left hagar and ismael to their own fate in the desert; this is ridiculous. If this story was true and Abraham never visited and took responsibility for Hagar and Ishmael, by todays standards most people would Abraham a DEAD BEAT DAD, which is ridiculous.

Islam is the religion brought by god to Muhammad(saws) and this is the bestowment of his favor on all of mankind and the fulfillment of prophecy in Genesis 12, 1-3.

Abraham and ishmael established the worship of one god in Arabia and built the kabbah as a place of worship to the one god, but the arabs associated partners with Allah, much like the catholics who worship saints, thus the message of Islam was delivered to Muhammad from god, calling people back tgo the worship of one god

As Jesus told the sons of Abraham if you were the sons of Abraham you would have known me. Abraham knew me and rejoiced to see my day. The only way Muslims know the name Abraham is from scripture they call corrupt.

And, who says it is a religion from pagans? You are mistaken here. Mohammad had the religion of the Jews and the Christians. He had his own words that he felt were from G-d. He converted pagans-the religion is not a religion derived from them.

I don't understand how Islam is derived from paganism. For one thing, Muhammed (p.b.u.h) was a trader, so it is pretty concievable that he had contact with Christians and Jews. Are those pagan religions?

If it was pagan it would have multiple Gods.

Then it isnt.

And if it was, it wouldnt be the religion that Abraham had taught (the worship of one God)

No. All it takes is a few hours of reading the koran (quran, qur'an, etc) in order to see that Muhammed was SERIOUSLY detached from science, reality and history when he invented islam, allah and the koran.

it's derived from judaism and still it cannot be a religion in the sense we know of religions because there's too much freedom of interpretation even in its most orthodox forms. and they even kill each other.
