Medicine is a science. They should reject that science, too, right?

Cause going to the doctor works, praying doesn't. If praying worked, and going to doctors didn't, evolutionists would pray instead of going to doctors.

Tinypup, you don´t have a point there!
Creationist do not reject science! There were and there are many great scientists that are creationists. Creationists are a group that invest very heavily in education and in the study of life development. They are scientist themselves that begin with a different "premise" from the "evolutionists".
And there are many doctors that are creationists too.
You are beginning from a misguided "premise".
Tom´s Cruise religion is the one that doesn´t believe in Medicine, I think. They pray for cure.
Check some sites with different opinions at the Internet about the subject. See bellow.

I lost a dear friend 4 years ago to cancer. She had breast cancer, and then lymphatic cancer. When she first found the lump, 10 years ago, she said nothing. When it became apparant how ill she really was, she was properly diagnosed, then she refused to continue to see a doctor, opting instead to go to "faith healers", holistic healers, and simply praying. She was a practicing Catohlic. My mother, myself, and all our friends begged her to stop all that, and just go to the doctor. She had six kids, all under the age of twenty. Had she just spoken up, and had the chemo, etc, she'd most likely have caught it early and her kids would have their mom. It bothers me to know that. So while I'm sure your question was meant to be a little facetious, I implore anyone who is ill and of faith, go see a doctor. I miss Lucy very much, and it all could have been taken care of. Don't mistake prayer for medical treatment, please.

Medicine is a science, but why would we reject it? evolution isn't a science, it's a belief. notice I gave all of the previous answers that gave this question a positive comment a thumbs down.

God always responds to your prayers (and he still loves you atheists and evoulutionists, muslim, etc.), but sometimes the best answer is 'No'. a science, as in Medicine, gives you a 90% chance (at least) of curing the sickness.

say you have the flu, and you're a christian. what do you do? you don't go to some church, sit down in the first pew, and start praying: 'dear god: I pray that this sickness that I have will go away. in Jesus name amen.' and end there? sure, god will fix the problem, but you're gonna go to a doctor. it's common sense, you dork.

Maybe someday the creationists will wise up and realize that modern medicine is not meant to cure them, only to treat their symptoms. I feel sorry for all the bleating sheep that let greedy doctors have their way with them. God gave us natural remedies and treatments that will cure you. And you don't have to mortgage your house to be able to afford them.

There is a story that fits this very senario....

There is a terrible flood coming and everyone is evacuating the town. One religious and faithful man refuses to go saying "God will save me."
The flood waters begin to rise. A neighbor is leaving and offers him a ride in his truck. The man refuses and says, "God will save me."
The waters get even higher and a rescue team in a boat come by saying he needs to leave. Again, the man refuses and says, "God will save me."
Finally, the waters get so high, the man has to go to his roof. A helicopter comes by and they urge the man desperately to get on. The man is obstinant and once again says, "God will save me!"
The man drowns.

He meets God at the pearly gates and asks "God, why didn't you save me?" And God replies, "Well, I sent you a neighbor with a truck, and rescuers with a boat and a helicopter, what more did you want?"

The moral of this story? God works good through people too - which is the answer to a lot of prayer. He has given us opportunities to help eachother, medicine included. If a child has a terminally ill disease and a bone marrow transplant can save that child's life, God gave us the ability to have the medical advances to save that child's life - THAT'S the miracle.
By going to doctors is not rejecting God. It's embracing God's gifts. Another human wanting to help another human is a Divine gift and should be cherished - not rejected.

People who belong to all organized religious orders, must turn off the mechanism in their brain that controls logic and reason. If a devote Christian was in the forest with a friend hiking and a bear started to chase them both running side by side, and the bear caught and killed his friend, he would thank God. He would thank God for allowing him to run faster than his friend and thank God for telling the bear to eat his friend and not him.

That's how religious zealots think. They can easily justify anything for their own stupid, illogical methods of reason.

Also when all else fails, just invoke the easiest justification for all random acts...the word "miracle"....and by the way, remember, God directed your creationist friends to go to the doctor.

God gave us a brain and the intelligence to take care of ourselves. And for those of you who aren't christian's prayer is not something you use only when you are in need of something. It is simply a means to communicate with God. God answers prayers in a lot of ways, so just because you didn't get exactly what you want doesn't mean he didn't answer your prayer.

Christian Scientist religion members (Church of Christ, Scientist) pray for healing instead of believing in medicine. That includes drugs, surgery, blood transfusions, vitamins, and vaccinations.

There's a difference between a fundamentalist Christian and a creationist.

Nice try though.
