Yes, most parishes have support groups.

Some common ones are divorce, cancer, and grieving the death of a loved one.

Check out your parish bulletin or call the parish office and ask.

With love in Christ.

My parish has many groups. The grief support group and others. St Michaels Church.
I am sure all churchs have access to help somehow - that's why churchs are here - helping the community they are in.
Wish I could say trust your church - but I don't know you. I would say either your church or the cities in your area have resources for care. County services also.
What are your place of employment health benefits in this area? (Years ago I worked at Sony, and had 4 visits free, mental care.) If your a veteran the VA has services also. Hope I was of some help....
Luckily there are people here that can help with better suggestions.

Yes, there are support groups in Catholic Churches, but you will not find them all in one place. Your parish church may, or may not, have what's best for you.

So, what to do? (1) Telephone your church during the week when the office is open. (2) Ask them where do you go for help. (3) They will probably refer you to another office. Do not be discouraged as this is normal. (4) Call the other office and if they say you need to make an appointment then do so. Sometimes you will have to call several offices before you can find a good fit for what your needs are.

Good luck, and I hope you're successful in getting help.

Church should be a safe haven. The important issue in
seeking support is are you ready for what you must do? To
approach church supporters is to meet people, some maybe
spirituals. These wide, and independent souls may not have
any ability to explain and provide real support. Think of and
establish goals on paper. Stay with this. To address others
in churches is very traditional. This means there are people
that can help, interact, provide, train, teach, share, and love.
This excellent field that we call the church is a mortal place.
God cannot seek you out individual attention, signs or blessings
must also be recognized and limited within fair practices. To
increase your presentability is important, plan who, what type,
what level of social interactivity you can afford.

If there is not any suitable emotional support groups at your church, might I recommend you seek permission from the pastor to start one? Not only would you be helping yourself, you'd also be helping others in your parish who have emotional issues but nowhere to go.

Of course there are. I don't know where you live but where I am there are many groups. (everything from help for divorced parents to teen pregnancy to marriage counselling to simply talking about life.)
Ask your priest. (make an appointment with him for a Private consultation and I am sure he can recommend you somewhere for whatever it is you need support with.) You simply have to ask!

I hope you get what you are looking for.
(if your priest can't help he should be able to give you numbers of places that can.)

Absolutely. Speak to you local parish priest. He may be able to direct you to the agency that best fits your needs. Failing that, speak to your family doctor. Again,, he/she may be able to get you the assistance you need. Good luck to you...
