A person visited to my city invited by a local pastor saying He is the man of God. with lot of gifts including healing.

who ever visits him will hear him saying about their past present and some of their future too. I wonder if this is biblical I have seen a person sitting with a parrot on the pavement tells you about your past present and the future alomost all are correct. and there are some sadhus and other faith practitioners do the same but why this christian preasts do this immitating them.. is it to attract people to them? or does God really tells them to say this to their visitees.

whats going on in this. there are people reported healed by him to.... I am confused can some one explain me of this.

Thanks

Hi,
I need to write my own "Philosophy of Ministrty", and I don't know how to begin. I'll use my own thoughts, but don't want to say too much, or too little. I looked all over the Internet for a basic outline of what should be included, but couldn't find any samples. Could someone send me a link of an outline, OR just let me know the general format? Thank you so much.

with "I'm guessing you are really close to finding Jesus. Kind of like Paul when he was persecuting all the christians in the new testament. I can't wait to hear from you after you find the peace in your life that only He can give. Keep being defensive. God loves a challenge"

That hit me like a ton of bricks! OH MY! That is EXACTLY what happened to me! I was the angriest at Christians, the meanest when I spoke about them, and the most vocal against them in the year before Christ grabbed me up!

For those that have accepted Christ as an adult, was it that way for you?

Personally this is one that I disagree with other Atheists. Although I do think that religion is generally counterproductive to society, I don’t think religion in children has shown to psychologically damaging except to minor cases. I’m also strong in favor of our first amendment that guarantees freedom of religion. Also, I don’t pretend to think I have all the answers in life and that my way is the only correct way, and I think most parents would never teach religion if they thought it would hinder their kids. Given this, I think the only rational conclusion is to let parents indoctrinate their kids. I think that we should still fight against ignorance and immorality due to religion, but that doesn’t mean we have to destroy religion all-together and that some people can’t benefit from it.

Please share your thoughts on this. Theists please share your thoughts on parents of other religions or atheists their belief system.

If one denies something does that make it true? Does that prove it is true that something does not exist if I or someone else says so? Isn't it true that athiests only wonder just like non athiests as to what is true? Can't athiests think about the word God and if they do, don't they have to continually weigh out whether God exists the same as everyone else? What purpose does someone have to claim that they are an athiest? What does that prove? How will they act different from a non athiests when making that claim? How are they helping mankind by claiming that there is no God? How did they come to that conclusion?

Better to rule in hell than serve in heaven? Given the rep. of Lucifer how do they think they will rule anything? Lucifer doesnt share power or give respect so how could anyone believe in this phrase? All thoughts welcome.

It is my understanding that only the Holy Spirit is the only One that can change my heart. Christian friends (and recently a preacher) have been talking about their love walk. I use the idea of taking a "pause" whenever I am upset or irritated. I pray. But Idont understand the love walk--certain people who are regularly in my life make me crazy....especially my husband who is not a believer and is foul mouthed and negative. I don't want to make this about him.... what can I do. Where I can learn more about my love walk and are there any practical things you do? I met a woman, who has been blessed by the Holy Spirit, and she seems very comfortable with the time she has spent "practicing" her love walk. I guess I am stressing because I am trusting God to help me and the Holy Spirit to guide me and my mind says this is nuts. I guess I am just confused...thoughts? how much can I do for myself? practical suggestions? or do I just read my bible, pray and wait.

This is a photo of Saturn, seen in eclipse, taken by the Cassini space probe. Before you read the text connected to the photo below, can you find earth in the picture?

How does this perspective effect your views on the elections, global warming, creationism v. evolution, etc.?

Here's another photo where you can barely make out a fuzzy moon circling the earth:

Does your religion have anything to say about such an insignificant dot?

is this a sin. I believe. If someone chooses not to believe not out of anger or spite but just because they dont want too does this mean they will go to hell? If i said "You believe good for you but i dont nothing personal against you or God." does this mean i am hell bound? Why?
