with "I'm guessing you are really close to finding Jesus. Kind of like Paul when he was persecuting all the christians in the new testament. I can't wait to hear from you after you find the peace in your life that only He can give. Keep being defensive. God loves a challenge"
That hit me like a ton of bricks! OH MY! That is EXACTLY what happened to me! I was the angriest at Christians, the meanest when I spoke about them, and the most vocal against them in the year before Christ grabbed me up!
For those that have accepted Christ as an adult, was it that way for you?

Sort of. I hated Christians, and for a while, "their God" I found them to be a bunch of hypocrites who passed me by. Yea, "they cared about humanity" while poking fun at me. Well, I grew up with low self esteem. Then one day I met God, that is Jesus, (Son) and I have found out a lot of things, starting with when you are saved, you are still human.

Not at all. When I converted to Christianity in my teens I was captivated by the idea of a loving friend like Jesus. Although I was Jewish, I had no prejudice against Christians. I was taken in by the sheer number of their churches everywhere on the planet and thought that popularity equated with "right". It is only after I really got into studying Christianity, and I matured emotionally and intellectually, and I realized the wrongs of Christianity, that I abandoned that faith for an ideology I have always known to be true. I have a problem with some Christians now because I see how they are shackled in a fearful belief system, underneath all that smiley hallelujah joy facade. I know what they are inside.

Have you found Christ now? Oh, I'm so glad to hear how He's changed your life!! Well, I'm not an adult, but I would never really read my bible, was bored at church, would rather spend more time with my friends than with God...then i moved overseas and that all changed! I'm now very close to God

I was angry at just about everyone, including God.
About 2 months after I got saved my brother was tragically killed. I got mad at God for a pretty long while then also.
Saved but still human, then, and now.

we who are tolerant must be tolerant of those who are not and we all need to respect each person's individual right to the free will to believe or not believe as they see fit. as long as they are picking on me they are leaving someone else alone.
