and what does that mean?

Why is it that many people, of any religious faith, go through the thought process that there -must- be something of greater signifgance in existance, and denounce others for their beleifs? Why is it that many people -need- the thought of a God or ultimate power to help them with life's problems? Sure, one may be a moderate, but for those whom thank their God or Gods for every little action that occurs in the everday scenario, and pray constantly for some divine aide - What is your thought process that leads you to needing this thought, rather than accepting that we exist, and do not cling to a though of higher power, or question why we are here - Afterall, we are alive, and we do exist without any noticable divine intervention.

So questioning or testing Him is wrong? Humans, after all, have very limited senses---apes are primarily visual creatures. To see is to believe, isn't it not?

It doesn't have to be a grand show for millions to see; it can be done tete-a-tete. Why does He refuse do you think?

Should American Christians be concerned about Iraqi's, or Muslims ?

A simple question...what people from what countries or religions should 'good+christians" be concerned about, for that matter should they exclude Jews ? Muslims ? Sick people ? Bad people ?

Who should Christians love or not love ?

Jesus in Matthew 15 says that what you eat doesn't defile you. So, he's pointing out that there are errors. For example, Leviticus 11:9-12 says the eating of shrimp is an abomination. Now, we all know how bad Christians hate abominations, gay sex abomination evil wicked gays. But somehow we see Christians lineing up at Red Lobster and Long John Silvers not to protest but to eat shrimp.

Jesus pointed out the error in Leviticus 11:9-12 which is pretty clear God hates shrimp thats what the word abomination means it means hate,

so whoever wrote that, Moses I suppose, must have been in error. God really doesn't hate shrimp does he.

I think I'm going to go get some shrimp today and yummy yummy and protest heterosexual marriage (thats a joke people)

Ah, I was actually there to hear the following on the train in the subway, in NYC, and wondered if Christians actually agreed with the second man (who was obviously joking):

Woman: Praise Jesus! Jesus will save your soul! When the world ends, your money won't save you, but, Jesus and his love for you will!

Man in Suit 1: Do you think it'd be wrong if we shoved her out of the train when the doors open?

Man in Suit 2: No. Jesus will save her.

Why is it so many of you find the time to run out in the streets to protest against anything that questions Muhammad negitivily, yet don't do anything about anything that makes fun of Jesus. Does Islam no believe in Christianity as the religion that precedes Islam? Is Jesus not the most quoted prophet in the Qu'ran? In fact why don't Muslims refer to Jesus, as "The Prophet Jesus Christ, Peace be upon him" as they do for Muhammad?

I am agnostic. There is still a part of me that thinks that there may be a God. What I absolutely cannot accept is that there is a hell. Is there any organized religion that does not believe there is a hell?

Without using any bible scriptures, can anyone explain to me how you can say that God loves us, but then could still condemn us to hell for eternity? I do not want to hear that Jesus will save me, I do not believe that and I never will. What I want is why should I believe in a God?

If anyone can give me a good logical answer why this loving God would send his "children" to hell, I would appreciate it. Please remember that you are talking to a skeptic, but I do want to learn with a open mind.

I know that I am limiting your answers by excluding the bible and I apologize, but I can never accept that book as true. If I see a scripture, I will not even read your answer.

I am just saying the Bible for example is so cryptic that people take many of its verses in many different ways. This is how we get people like that group that protests at funerals of soldiers. And the same goes for the Quran. An obvious perversion of it is why we have these militant extremists trying to kill everything.

It just seems to me that if any text was written by the big guy it would be so easily understandable and blatantly easy to see god's touch that it would not be deniable.

...just my opinion...

They both mean the same thing.
Ex. If someone is bothering you, you pray that leave you alone.
When something happens to that person or they stop bothering you, your prayers have been answered

When you see a wild turkey in the woods, and you want to eat it, your preying on that animal, just like you prayed on that person.
