Spending it on champagne, romantic retreats for two and lavish dinners?
I know I find it funny as all get out. They probably did too.
What do you think?

My uncle has a farm. He violates Leviticus 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Leviticus 24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Leviticus 20:14).

Before you answer please bear in mind that the word used for "angel" here is literally translated "messenger" and doesn't necessarily mean an angelic being. I've done a very in depth study on this individual and have drawn my own conclusions but would like to hear your opinions. I'd also encourage you to do a similar study, preferably using a Topical Study Bible to make it easier

Those who think the Bible has discrepancies, and therefore can't be believed....please state these discrepancies.

Sorry...my original question was closed out on accident...look at my profile for additional answers.

Note to everyone who is worried about my salvation....I am not in question about if the bible is true....I merely want to understand why some people think it is not true...

Obviously religious thought can be traced back to the time the brain of the homosapien was becoming capable enough for logical thought. Do you think as we advance our medical capabilities(I won't say scientific capabilities because it has already been established in the scientific world, and religion does not need logical thought to exist), the need for religion will start ot fade. When eventually we advance nano medicine to the point where living indefinately until an accident occurs becomes possible, do you think that will be the end of religion?

I was confused by the notion of another christian calling another christian belief a cult, like the Jehova witnesses, and the catholics, the mormons..How ironic is it to see christians telling other christians that they are not true christians. So if there not true christians then are they going to hell? Christians dont even like christians who believe differently. And you wonder why so many have become atheists.

To say you have control over what you feel and see is preposterous. You do not choose how you react, how happy or sad you are, and most of all, what you learn. Let's say you choose to read a book. That is not freewill because something in your personality wanted to read a book so you did. No one shapes his or her personality, the world does. Be rational; people are products of their environment. You don't choose to be you. How can you be you if you have a different life?

There is no almighty God in Buddhism. There is no one to hand out rewards or punishments on a supposedly Judgement Day. Buddhism is strictly not a religion in the context of being a faith and worship owing allegiance to a supernatural being. ( now accepting applications from all non-believers)

There is such a defensive reaction to saying something like homosexuality is wrong according to scripture. I get this really hateful vibe from people "shouting" things like homophobe. They accuse us of not understanding and being afraid of the gay community. Isn't that simply a misunderstanding, a fear of Christianity?
I DO understand it. I was in it for 8 years. I think I have every right to share my beliefs on the subject. I have freedom from a life that I viewed as hell. I'm not afraid of the issue, I'm more sad for those still trapped in that hell. Am I a homophobe? If you quit smoking and say to others that it is wrong are you a smokaphobe?
