If christianity is all about not judging others and always forgiving people for their sins, why do they stand outside mcdonalds forcing their beliefs on you shouting about god and jesus, is this not a little hypercritical?

Please read the entirety of the details. This is rather important on this question.

This is a quote from Adam Hamilton, an evangelical pastor:

"The religious right has "gone too far," says Hamilton. "They've lost their focus on the spirit of Jesus and have separated the world into black and white, when the world is much more gray."

You can see the quote in full context here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15566654/site/newsweek/ Feel free to look at it; it may influence your answer.

Do you agree with his statement? Is everything black and white, or are there shades of gray?

Could God be somewhat like water? It could be poured into different vessels. It could be heated and represent the Holy spirit in the form of steam. It could change form and become a solid and could represent Jesus in human form. Do you know other ways to explain the trinity?

dosent it say in
Matthew 5
38"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.'[g] 39But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. 41If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

so If i get this right if I ask or sue you then you should give me what I ask. Ok so I am asking money from the nice Christians on this website ;)

"Revelation 2:23
I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds. "

Keep in mind that there is NOTHING in this passage to suggest that the children were at any fault of anything. You can't assume either that Jesus will diferentiate because in the old testament during moses, babies were killed by god himself (and jesus is god), and there is no way you can say they are sinners.

It seems so many religious people are ending up in the headlines molesting little kids, paying for sex and buying meth. It seems that gay priests are so messed up that they hide in the closet and campaign against themselves. Is all this preaching a result of people feeling guilty about how their actions conflict whith the teachings of the bible? Is religion the only way they see to control themselves?

The Christian is likely to be convinced by his religious scriptures. The Bible prohibits the consumption of pork, in the book of Leviticus

"And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you".

"Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, they are unclean to you."
[Leviticus 11:7-8]

Pork is also prohibited in the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy

"And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass."
[Deuteronomy 14:8]

A similar prohibition is repeated in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 65 verse 2-5.
THEN WHY CHRISTIANS SAY THAT PORK IS ALLOWED TO EAT IN CHRISTIANITY?

A term used since A.D. 200 to denote the central doctrine of the Christian religion. God, who is one and unique in his infinite substance or nature, is three really distinct persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The one and only God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Yet God the Father is not God the Son, but generates the Son eternally, as the Son is eternally begotten. The Holy Spirit is neither the Father nor the Son, but a distinct person having his divine nature from the Father and Son by eternal procession. The three divine persons are co-equal, co-eternal, and consubstantial and deserve co-equal glory and adoration.

We need to know how we are created in God's image to grasp the concept of the Holy Trinity

God is spirit. He cannot be seen. If you were to examine all the creatures, the CREATOR has made a pattern emerges: angels and demons are intellectual creatures without a body; plants and animals do not have an intellect but a body and mortal soul.

If your belief system has a god, prophet, etc. that you follow, did they gain followers through their words or through their actions? Which do you think is better? Which would you use to attempt to bring more believers into your religion? Why?
