Because not all Christians are smart. Like regular people, some are total f*ckwits.
I'm Christian, and I feel that I have the right to say that. Anyone else who says otherwise.. well, up yours.
Cryptic_utopia nailed it. Remember that Christians are humans, too. And we all know what kinds of idiocy humans are capabale of...
Think of it this way... A group of teenagers run about through the high school blowing people's heads off with sawed-off shot guns and pretty much shooting everything that moves. Now, are ALL teenagers crazy S.O.B.'s that tote machine guns around and shoot anything that twitches?
Yeah.. didint' think so. Don't you dare put me in that sad "holier than thou" group. I'd rather eat glass than waste my time yelling in front of a McDonalds.

The question requires more detail.
Why did you feel judged?
Did you feel convicted in your own spirit or by the Holy Spirit that you have done something wrong? (That's ok, since it is an internal conviction, which requires you to make a choice whether to change something you are uncomfortable with in your own life).
Or were they pointing at specific things you were doing? (Which tends to drive people away, a more positive approach would be better. It is best to allow the Spirit of God to do the convicting, it should not be people pointing fingers. The only time that is acceptable is outlined in 1 Corinthians 5, where some church members were blatantly and openly behaving unacceptably, which caused great trouble for everyone in the church at Corinth).
As for street ministry and preaching, the Good News needs to be spread, and preaching the Word is how God wants it spread!
Ro 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Ro 2:16
In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Ro 10:15
And how shall they preach, except they be sent ? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

I am a Christain, but I will not hesitate in saying that the people who claim to be the most Christian-like will be the biggest hypocrites ( usually.) It is a part of the Christain faith to bring others to Jesus, but there is a difference in this and judging people. I happen to wear black all the time and eyeliner and I get judged all the time. It happens. Not all Christians are like that though :)

I can't speak for what you saw because I didn't see it, but I can give some insight on judging and forcing.
First, don't use the term "forcing" so loosely. Just because someone is vocal or obnoxious, doesn't mean they are forcing you to do anything. Forcing would mean that no one had a choice but to accept their beliefs after an encounter with them. Since I doubt that many did, I think you need to re-word your view of what happened.
Second, Christianity is not about "not judging". Christianity is most certainly about judging good and evil, right and wrong. The Word of God has already judged what is good and evil. Christians are commanded to bring that message to people.
ie, you are sleeping with your neighbors wife and that is wrong.
That is a judgment according to the Word of God and I will tell people that.
What we do not judge is how we view the individual. For example: The person who is sleeping with their neighbors wife is sinning, but we would not deny that person any help if they asked. They would not be shunned or treated with any prejudice because of their sin. The same goes for homosexuals, murderers, liars, thieves, etc.
The doors of church are open to everyone. But that won't stop us from telling people that they need Jesus.
Jesus did not tolerate sin, but He forgave sin. Christians are the same way.
We don't tolerate evil or sinful lifestyles. We will let people know that they are sinning, but we will treat them as brothers if they repent of their evil ways.
As far as people standing on the corner and preaching, I think it's fine as long as you do it decently. Shouting at people usually doesn't get much accomplished. But there isn't anything wrong with handing out tracts or just speaking to who wants to listen. I wouldn't chase people down the street.
If someone wants to stand on the corner and preach, you don't have to listen. Just move on. I've heard of many people being saved that way. One of the most notorious gang bangers in the 70's was saved that way. His name is Nicky Cruz from NY. You can read about his story in "The Cross and The Switchblade" by Wilkerson. They even made a movie about it and Eric Estrada played Nicky.
Anyone will be accepted into God's House.
If someone didn't preach to me, then I wouldn't be a Christian today. Someone had to tell me I was a sinner and on my way to hell. I thank them for it because I didn't know until they told me. If they didn't love me enough to tell me the truth, I would still be walking in darkness.
Instead of getting angry at them, why don't you try talking to them next time. You might actually learn something.

I know what you mean there was a woman preaching outside a McDonalds when I was about 14 and I was minding my own business and she shouted at me and told me I was going to get raped and burn in hell....I was extremely upset, people should not be allowed to preach!

I think that some will do all that is within their power to try to bash Christianity. There is absolutely no way that anyone can force their opinion upon you outside a McDonaldls. There is not nearly enough time to do that.

Is your question about judgmental, Forgiving Christians? Or about forceful ones?
No one forced you to do anything... do they? Not even God himself.
I beleive that the people who distribute beliefs of Christ are trying to spread the word of Christ, so that you may be saved...

you can't really generalize that to all christians. it's not fair to assume that just because you have had some not so good experiences with christians trying to cram their beliefs down your throat that they are all like that. you just happen to notice the more extreme christians because they make themselves more openly know....which really isn't always a good thing.

That's not forcing. Forcing is being told to convert or die. A christian who forces is not a christian and those they convert are not christian. Only those that accept that Jesus died for our sins and repent of their sins are christians. The point being you have to make the willing choice.
There are many people who have failed to understand the teachings of Jesus who call themselves christian.
Jesus said "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven – only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. On that day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons and do many powerful deeds?’ Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Go away from me, you lawbreakers!" Matthew 7:21-23
Hope this helps
