In Islam, we believe any living thing has a soul, this includes animals and plants. And they have rights too.
I don't think they have a Day of Judgement as they were not born with a logical mind the way human beings are. They don't have the mental ability to differentiate what is right and wrong. Therefore I believe animals go to heaven :)

I do not know what jinns are.I doubt animals have a soul, most of them are the most ruthless killers,on the other hand dogs save lives, they as many animals have a mind.I often associate the mind with the soul,so that is a tough one.Elephants never forget,
cats see ghosts, they say dolphins are more intelligent than us
humans. The bible says the lion will lay down with the lamb.I am
a little on the fence here, but deep down something tells me no.

I believe that every living thing has a soul and that we are all connected to all that is. I believe that the separateness which we perceive ourselves to be in this physical incarnation is an illusion, and we are all part of the "all that is". I believe that not only human beings, but animals, vegetation and all natural matter such as the earth, the air, the ocean, has a soul, because we are all together the process of life, which is God.
I don't believe that any of us will be "judged". My God does not judge or condemn. These are human traits, ascribed to God by humans who cannot stretch their minds to the fact that God is SO much more than we could ever know.

Good Question!
Animals and plants have souls but are different types of souls. Animals have "sensative" souls. Plants have "vegitative" souls. How do we know a soul exists? The indicator that a soul exists is "life"! Their souls are mortal and will cease to exist when they die.
Our souls are immortal and will last for all eternity. We have an "intellectual" soul. It is because of this we can think and figure things out we have not experienced. Animals do not have this ability of reasoning. We have a free-will because of this reasoning ability. Animals do not have free-will and only respond to stimuli. We are connected with them because we have a body and are so attached to the physical world.
If you were to examine all the creatures, the CREATOR has made a pattern emerges: angels and demons are intellectual creatures without a body; plants and animals do not have an intellect but a body and mortal soul. Not even the angels were created in God's image and it may have been this fact that turned Satan (a former angel) against God. How do we know we are the only creatures made in God's image besides using scripture? Only mankind has 3 parts to his existence: a mind (mental), a body (physical), and a soul (spiritual). Angels lack a body and animals and plants lack a mind. Mankind is the only creature to be created in God's image.
This concept can also be used to demonstrate the existence of the Holy Trinity.
ESSENCE OF MAN: MIND, BODY, SOUL.
EXISTENCE OF MAN: HUMAN, LIVING, BEING.
ESSENCE OF GOD: FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT.
EXISTENCE OF GOD: All Knowing, All Powerful, Ever present.
This concept of creation can be applied to many other aspects of life but I have made my point to your question.
If you take Genesis in which God says, "...let us make man in our image..." It implies some kind of plurality. Yet, we know there is only ONE TRUE GOD.
IT IS ONLY LIVING, HUMAN, BEINGS, that have a MIND, BODY, and SOUL. Only human beings have all three. Now, living, human, being is the existence of man. Those words describe the essence of man's mind, body, and soul. The Body is living, the Mind makes us human and distinguishing us from animals, and our Soul makes us the being that we become (good or evil).
Hope this helps.

yes.
but what is the manner of that spirit which is in them?
animals can discern between right and wrong! many learn NOT to crap in the living room or inside the house. and many can choose to want to go outside.
but can i ask? if a spirit has a choice to become a dog or a cat can they also have the option, sooner or later to become human?
if the choice between human and animal is available will not most spirits choose human?

Yes animals have souls.... The soul of anything created is the outer shell of the existence of life.... It is the formation of the creature..... The spirit is the life of it......
Animals have a hierarchy which is unlike our own....
As God gave Adam dominion over all the things before him... and God let Adam name everything...... Man is given to judgement because God gave him authority over all these things.......
Animals were not given the mindset to follow after the pattern by which judgement is come.......

Ya bad animals go to hell to torment souls there, like mean dogs, and cats,
snakes, and rats, and mice, and lice, flys, and cies. with men who lies in darkness with all who dies.
Heaven is full of good ones, and they will sleep together, death is done away with, all the animals will eat grass, the lion, the alligator, no snakes, they are in Hell.
horses, lots of horses. Lambs, and goats, tigers, all have a place, God will not leave them out when gives us a new Earth.

I myself have never observed in an animal what I believe to be a conscious effort to exhibit either good or bad behavior. I believe that animals each possess their own individual personalities. I have seen animals act 'bad' and act 'good', but I think that they naturally act 'good' and only act 'bad' when presented with a situation which promotes or invokes bad behavior.

Yes animals are living souls, they do not have one they are living souls.
Jesus only gave his life for humans.
Animals have instincts but can be trained to do right and wrong by their masters or owners.
like pit bulls they can be trained to fight and do evil if their owners trained them like that.
but animals can not make decisions
Judgement day is only for humans and bad angels and satan.

in all honesty i can't say i know for sure that such a thing as soul truly exists but in my God concept "soul" exists as pure and immutable energy, possibly sentient.
so in my God concept ... yes animals have souls because they are alive and self aware. however, animals are innocent. they need not concern themselves with right and wrong. they need only survive another day and propagate their species.
i, personally, do not believe in a "judgment day" for souls since in my God concept soul is immutable, incorruptible, forever pure and within God.
