In other questions I've asked about religion I've been told - the bible tells truths, test it. Then someone tells me about prophecies, etc. Now I don't read the bible, for good reason, but wouldn't you say that anything vague enough can prophesies? Look at Horoscopes, if you read every horoscope with faith that there is some truth to it...not only does the one under your own sign have validity in your life...but so do all of the others. A true prophecy would have to entail actual dates, times, names, and occurances. For me to believe in a horoscope it would have to say...today you pick numbers 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 and you will win 4.5 million dollars and 7 cents. The bible is just a way that people, especially children, formulate a basis for religion. It's an ancient Mother Goose, morals, etc. Give me your take on this idea.
