Interesting question. Guess you have to consider the background. Very few things are black and white. The word child is suggestive of innocence. However what about a woman who tortures and kills those responsible for torturing and killing her family. Not quite so easy then.

So yes, I think I could... but it does depend on the circumstances. If you meant a Myra Hindley type, then no way.

you mentioned myra hindley and she was the person i thought of immediatly
i had a dream once that she was sitting in a chair speaking to me , she spoke softly and was very sad ... she told me that the person who did those things was not the person sitting with me

ok so this perhaps was just a silly dream , but it did get me thinking alot about this .. and about mental illness , influence of others ( brady ) , things we may not understand about the people who do such things
now i have 3 children of my own and i do not know what i would do if this ever happened ... and heaven forbid it does
but for the moment , i try to understand what may have cause a woman to do these things .. because i do not feel it is a normal feeling for any woman to hate a child so much
there must be underlying problems
so i would not hate them .. i would try to understand them .. and i would hope they get help xx

Vlad likes to ask very deep questions. Keep them coming, friend.

I was recently introduced to the story of Sylvia Lykens. See the link below, but only if you've got a strong constitution.

My friend Dan read a novel based on her story. Jack Ketchum's "Girl Next Door." Dan writes movies, so he wrote the screen play that is now in the early stages of production.

I don't know if I can see this one. It's just too horrible.

I am a Christian. Biblically speaking, Jesus tells us we must forgive every one. We must love everyone. We must visit those who are incarcerated for even the worst crimes and show them compassion. BE Christ for them.

It isn't easy. Certainly isn't easy. Jesus forgave and indeed shed his blood for the men who brutally killed him as well as the people who loved him and wept bitterly.

Can we do that? Imagine what a wonderful world this would be if we could.

I try. But I am human, feeble and frail. My pathetic attempts always fall short. I just keep on trying...

Jesus said in the bible that he will forgive us for anything except for 2 things and they are suicide and going against the holy ghost(which means like sayin "i dont believe in God"} so if he can forgive us 4 everything we do wrong i think u should forgive back even though torturing and murder is very ill.

Yeah, it would be hard but you have to, because God didn't give us the right to be carrying out our own wrath and judgement down here. I think a good example to us all is how the Amish community reacted to the recent shooting at one of their schools in PA where afterwards they tore down the schoolhouse and then had a fundraiser for the shooters family.

In time, yes. Right away, no. I"m human and will probably be angry at her (as I am when there is a news story about such things). Given time, I can forgive her. After all, I am not her judge.

Majority of the women would not deliberately hurt children. Many are over protective in-fact.
The few that have killed deliberately are, in my view, mental.

Those who understand what they do and still do this should never be release.

Yes, if she repented for what she did. Forgiveness does not negate government law, though. God forgives the sins of all who ask.

The bible says we should, but I think the practice would be difficult. She is probably not right in the head. In any case, she ought to be removed permanently from society.
