INSTEAD OF PREPARING TO MEET YOUR MAKER WHEN YOU DIE, WOULDN'T IT BE A BETTER IDEA TO GET TO KNOW HIM AHEAD OF TIME ?

First of all, there isn't a what if about it......... excuse you.......
There really is a God and his name is Jesus Christ
(1 John chapter 5 verse 20, Titus chapter 2 verse 13, John chapter 1 verse 1

The bible says in Psalm chapter 14 and verse 1; it reads,
The Fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.

Look also in Isaiah chapter 40 verse 28; It states:
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow weary and his understanding no one can fathom.

Also check out, Psalm 24 verse 1: The earth is the Lords and everything in it. The world and all who live in it.

Now that I've showed you some verses in the bible thats proof that there is a God and that this God is Jesus. I'll proceed to show you that it's toooooooo late for a person once they died you cant get right with God. Your chance to deal with your eternal destination is while you are still upon the face of this earth.

Look in 2 Corinthians chapter 6 and verse 2; it says,
For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you."
I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.

If your went or go all the way through life and don't accept the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and you die in your sins then you'll end up in Hell. You'll no longer have the chance to accept the free gift of eternal life that God offers.

As scripture says, Behold, NOW is the time of God's favor, NOW is the day of salvation. The time of God's favor is not when you think or feel its to your convienience, nor is the day of salvation the day when you choose for it to be, but its only offered to you as long as God allows you to live on his earth. You wont get an after death chance to repent.

So I'll leave you with two of my motto's to live and die by.
Jesus saves NOW...........Tomorrow might be tooooo LATE!!!
and
JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!! Dont leave earth without him!!!!!!!

If he is the loving/forgiving God of the Bible that Christians like to think that he is then why wouldn't he allow for forgiveness after death?

If he doesn't and only allows us to make decisions in a very short period on this earth with limited contradictory and diverse information then maybe God deserves to go to hell as much as the rest of us.

Yes.That is the whole reason Christians witness to people. When you're dead it's too late. That is why God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross. To give the perfect sacrifice for our sins.Had Jesus just jumped off the cross and cured himself in front of everybody, that would have been pretty crazy to watch in itself, but there would not have been the sacrifice.
When Jesus died on the cross the earth and everything in it was legally purchased back from the devil.
When I say purchased back,I mean when God casted the devil and his angels from Heaven, the devil got legal domain of the earth and everything in it.
Ever notice how everything is falling apart as far as values, work ethics, respect for ones body, and others. The Holy Bible has prophesied this.Guess what? It's gonna get way worse as time goes by.

Whether you are late or not late depends on what you have been done in your life time, if you really have done a good work, he may fogive you for not believing in him during your life time and vice versa. The GOD looks into your heart, if you can keep it good you won this life if not, you will be the biggest loser.

It would be too late to meet God after we die because we'll never know the love He had for us when we were alive.

Luke 16:22-26
"Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. [23] "In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom. [24] "And he cried out and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.' [25] "But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony. [26] 'And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish to come over from here to you will not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us.'

Yep, too late. That is why Jesus preached:
Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Yes it will be too late. You must accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior at some point during life or you will not be accepted into the Kingdom of Heaven. Read the Bible.

Salvation through Jesus Christ will be too late after you die. It is while you are here on earth, that you need to Believe in Jesus and repent, put your faith in HIM alone. He will save you from your sins and give you eternal life in Him.
We have all fallen short of the glory of God, we have all sinned against him- according to HIS standards, the 10 commandments, we have broken at least one of them, and this is like a mirror to show us our sin!- Romans 3

--For the wages of sin is death -Romans 6:23
God made a way for us to be with him forever- He sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us- then He raised him from the dead three days later- ONLY God can defeat death~

But God demonstrated His own love towards us, in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us -Romans 5:8

Romans 10:9
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:10
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."

Ezekiel 18:20
The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him.

--Do you believe in what Christ Jesus did for you? That He is the only way, truth and life? -John 14:6

Hebrews 3:15
As has just been said: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts...."

Pray and ask the Lord to forgive you and grant you everlasting life- Believe in Him and put your TRUST in Him, trust him like you would trust a parachute to save your life- and then find a good bible teaching church....continue reading your bible and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you...God has MUCH to show you!

Jeremiah 33:3 "Call to me and I will answer you, and show you great and unsearchable things you do not know"
