The bible and all things written, are just that, it is written. Yet that does not instill the belief or faith within another.
We must all choose to accept the things we feel we must.
The bible is no more powerfull then a magazine.
It is not the words inside that give faith, But the heart of the seeker that creates it.
For those whom wish to knock, they knock . And yet they do not have to knock on a certain door. They may knock for answers on any door, and God answers. Wether one knows it or not.
"knock and the door shall be opened. Seek and you shall find."
It was not said "Knock on the bibles door only"
or "seek on the bibles pages only"
No. Just seek and you shall find, ask and it shall be given, knock and the door shall be opened.
For when we make a decision in Life, we are knocking. And an answer comes. Wether we learn from it or not is up to us.

I don't always believe what a magazine says. However, a magazine article is reviewed by peers and editors and then read by lots of people. If the story has errors in it you will hear about it on the Internet or in the Letters to the Editor section. If the magazine publishes enough articles with errors in them then it goes out of business.
And, if someone does point out an error in a magazine article the publisher doesn't go around accusing that person of being a tool of Satan.

I think tat is because some people tend to think of the bible as something rare, weird, or out of context from their everyday´s life... most of us should give a symbolic connotation to the bible´s words. Magazines are sth totally different from the God´s word, and their are based on what some people think are real facts....

If you're referring to the Watchtower and Awake magazines, they're Bible based and cite scripture. As Jehovah's Witnesses, we study the Bible constantly. We are to read in it daily. The magazines are additional information concerning the times we're living in. They provide practical ways to apply Bible counsel.

I don't know. Why do people believe there was a burning bush that talked, a sea that opened up to let the believers pass and a curse that killed the first born unless blood was smeared above the doorway? Sounds like witchcraft and magic to me.

People believe what they are comfortable believing. In the most general sense, people are like sheep (no offense to anyone in particular). They will believe just about anything if the message is close to what they suspect in their minds anyway. Look at suicide bombers. They actually believe that blowing themselves up and killing innocent people will earn them a ticket to virgins in heaven!!!! need I say more?!

one shouldn't automatically believe either; but look for corraborating evidence. many things in magazines can be easily corraborated through other sources, or you can sue a publisher/author for libel, and put them on the stand. One can't do either with the bible.

A very good question.
You see I can test out a magazine article, by reputation, is it Scientific American or the National Enquirer, how the article fits in with other facts know to be true, and I can test its contents.
The bible is a 2,000 year old mythology, see the difference?

Magazine stuff is backed up by photographs and its more recent. It is just gossip and bit of entertainment for a little while. It doesn't tell you what is right and wrong and doesn't cause long term conflict.
Bible is is not backed up by photos. It talks about abnormal things, like healing people just by touching them, walking on water etc which might seem hard to swallow. It tells you how to live and tells you what you shoudl and shouldn't do. Religion causes long term conflicts as wars.
