I used to believe in the christian faith, but now that I've changed, I realize if a christian finds out your not a 'believer' they atomatically place you as evil or the devil worshiper. First of all, While i studied the bible it read that free will is given, and christians sin if they discriminate against another. So why? I'm, still the same person, just in a different light. One of my friends, Kammie, doesn't talk to me anymore for this reason.

Because its "us and them". Humans are like that... we all suffer from this condition that I refer to as "us and them" whereby everything becomes subject to a bipolar divide: Your way of doing things and the wrong way of doing things.... and on the grandest scale you will support people doing things your way so you can conquer those doing it the other way. When the other people have been conquered.... you will find some other excuse to subdivide the people left....
On every level of society, people will favour those who are similar to them over those who are different.... but all entirely relative to the variety of the whole... If the variety is reduced due to the "them" being eliminated... then what were once people on the "us" side will become the new "them".... From a world scale to a continent scale to a country scale to a county scale to a town scale to a street scale to a family... and right down to the individual. We are made to compete.
And I've managed all that without actually saying anything particularly discriminatory against christians.... ^_^ ... Go me!

Kammie and others should not discriminate against you because you are not longer a Christian. Christians should not discriminate, but just as people from many religions, faiths, and even people who do not believe in God at all discriminate, Christians do it because they are people, not because they are Christians.

such principles are based on fears..fears of losing followers. or just inabilities to see that there were never any original "sin" but yes an original "blessings" i don't really understand.how a group of ppl who believe in such good man.as they perceive Jesus to be..turn around and judge others.who does not live up to their standards.but i tell u this..those are not just the "Christians" guilt of such blemish of the mind.but any other culture.,or religion out there.

Paul said, "The truth shall set you free."
However, many Christians don't want to hear or read the truth. They just want to feel good about their selves.
Christianity has been perverted to the point that it would bring Jesus to "clean house" as he did at the temple, against the money changers and sellers of things.

I think the question is what have you changed too. Do your friends feel you are involved in something dangerous. If you have simply stepped away from the Christian faith, and i were your friend, I would worry about you, but it would not affect our friendship.
What have you changed too?

believing in, and living in are seperate---you are correct that we shouldn't discriminate, only enlighten; it is human nature that gets us all labled good or bad, but as we mature, do less for the most part. i hope you find God and the gift of salvation, you will grow to understand and just accept differences of behavior.....peace

their loss as I'm certain if this were a true friend they would still like you anyway. A friend is a person who will know the worst fault you have and still will like you anyway.
