If a person were to come to you and ask; "If I am homosexual, can I receive the Kingdom of God", what is your response? The bible seems to contradict practicing homosexuality.

Romans 1:26,27 That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.

Verse 32; Although these know full well the righteous decree of God, that those practicing such things are deserving of death, they not only keep on doing them but also consent with those practicing them.

Also, I found 1 Cor 6:9-11, ...will not inherit the kingdom. Also, it says you have to give up those practices.

So, if you're saying yes they will and the bible says no they won't...who is right?

Alright... so christians believe that god is .... well... the "thing" that created the Universe, loves them, watches them masturbate... has some grand plan that involves slaughtering millions in natural disasters and wars all for some unknown greater good...

... And they believe that Jesus is both the son of god and god himself (entirely drawing what he was physically made of into question)... and that somehow his being crucified for heresy was all part of the grand plan and means in some completely counterintuitive way that god will NOT slap you around in the afterlife for every time he has seen you masturbate... provided you assume the position and have a little chit-chat with him on a regular basis.

So.... what the sweet heck is the "Holy Ghost" all about?
Is it some counterpoint representing death opposed to Jesus representing life? Is it just Jesus haunting the mortal world and going "woooo" to christians? What is it, and why even bother having such a thing?

Genesis chapter 3 verse 22

And the Lord, God said, Behold the man is become as one of us, to know good, and evil: and lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat , and live forever.
Now evertime I have asked no one has given me an answer, and even told me I had no right to question. Ok but who the hell is us?
And does this verse not imply that we as man are gods because we know the difference between good and evil. And does not only imply that god sent us away, because we would not be gods who live forever? This is the very concept that has confused me about the bible, the fact that their has always been a reference to us of god, which suggests there are many gods. So if that is the case would that not suggest also that their are many beliefs based on those gods? And if so, then which god is right?
Just wondering

...without abandoning religion and nationalism? It seems these are the two facets of culture most likely to trigger a doomsday scenario. Thoughts?

Someone had given me the name of someone in Nassau county, Ann Cervone, but did not have any contact information. Would like to try someone pretty accurate in person and not some psychic online or telephone service.

No need to give the name of the church you were in, or which church they were talking about.

Just a simple "yes" or "no," and what you thought about it.

thanks

For those of us who are not believers and observe violence provoked and policies shaped by religious convictions I find myself increasingly cynical and downright angry at all religion. I know i'm not alone here. However, people like myself are still reluctant to openly criticize the beliefs of religious people. Religion is afforded this odd respect that I no longer feel it deserves. I would like to see an increase in the dialogue seriously questioning a number of various religious beliefs and foundations. Hopefully, we'll see that happening more and more in the future. I don't feel that morality is dependent on religion in fact, i think religion may even obstruct it. To hell with all this silly religious nonsense!!

Think of the early stages of child developement 1 single cell turns into 2 then 4 then 8 then 16 ect. each cell is a galaxy that is seperating. Scientist think these Galaxies are colliding, but thats NOT true, they are seperating not unlike cellualar division, as the universe grows the child grows. I know this will not make sense to some, thats OK.
