No need to give the name of the church you were in, or which church they were talking about.

Just a simple "yes" or "no," and what you thought about it.

thanks

My answer, my dear friend, will be NO.
In regard with my thought (as you want it to be) is because I have never been taught to dislike other people religion in my church. And I truly believe that Christianity never did taught us to hate other religion. The religion did not teach such thing but it is us i.e. human who teaches in such a way.

My husband was born and raised in the Catholic Church.

He was told all other denominations were wrong and to stay away from any one that was not Catholic.

When we started dating, I did start attending their mass with him and his family.
When we decided to get married. The "father" at the church asked me if I was going to become Catholic. I told him that I did not know if I would or not.

That is the point that he told my husband that he should get rid of me and that he would not marry us.

25 years later we are still married and fully rid of the Catholic church, we prefer Gods rules , they are much easier to live by.

Yes a church attempted to tell me to dislike a group. I stopped going to church there.

No, and I'm glad about it too. I think church should be about coming closer to God rather than putting down other religions.

I don't go to church but I had a friend ask me why I was friends with these muslim girls... She was told that all muslims were "bad"

I didn't know if I should slap her for her blind faith in listening to other people and not making her own judgements, or to go slap the priest that told her that

My wife said Yes

It bothered her because she thought christians were tolerant come to find out they were being hypocrites It also was the factor that made her leave christianity altogether
