And is it a sin? Does your conscience haunt you whenever you do it?

dust of the ground + breath of life = "soul"?
humans and animals don't HAVE "souls", they ARE "souls"? The "soul" in the bible comes from the hebrew word "nephesh" and the greek word "psuche" and they are physical beings that can die. Biblically, aren't we physical being running on "spirit fuel" (spirit/breath of life) that has been passed down to us from Adam?

maybe angels have physical bodies, but because they have borrowed immortality from God who is only immortal, they can change form and move in light speed without dying.

A teen was killed in a car crash a few days ago, and the school is devastated. I want to make a memorial poster, and I want to put an inspiring verse that will let everyone know that the kid is in a better place.

Already considered Psalm 23.

I really love going to different houses of worship and let's just say I'm not very religious. I visited a number chruches, temples and synagogues with my brother. We been to a lot of them adn we are trying to visit at least 100 different religions. (I think we'll be done by the time i'm 17) They are types of religions I've been to.
1. Catholic
2. Baptist
3. Buddhist
4. Methodist
5. Jewish
6. Paganism
7. Wicca
8. Pentocostal
9. Chruch of the Nazarene
10. Brahamists

As you can see we haven't gone to far. Are there any other religious places of worship we can visit? Only in the US.

Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

I know this question is asked over and over, but mine is a little different. I already know what the meaning and purpose of life is, but I will choose the "Best Answer" that fits most closely with what I think or believe. I am just curious what others out there think about this subject.

Though i'm not ready to get married, my bf is pushing for it, and the issue of weddings has been a hot topic among my family lately. My mom is a Christian, attends church regularly, etc. And when I brought up the issue of how, in the future, i'd probably rather avoid all the expense and drama of a wedding, and get married at the Court House, she said that was wrong, and that if you are going to be married, and believe in God, you should be married by a Minister. While I am by no means perfect...and my relationship with God is not where it should be, I still believe in God, and would like to do things the right way. Is my mother right, in that I should be married by a minister instead of at the Court House by a JOP, or is she simply wanting what many mothers want, in seeing their daughters come down the aisle in the white dress? I'm the only girl, and I don't want to disappoint her. I also want my marriage to have the right foundation, in the Lord. Is she correct?

Several thousand years ago, the Holy Bible clearly recorded that the earth is round and that it is hung on nothing.

"It is He who sits above the circle of the earth" (Isa. 40:22).

"He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing" (Job 26:7).

The concept of dinosaurs are also given in bible in JOB:
40 . behemoth is the name of Dinosaurs used by God when discribing Dinosaurs to Job.

But in Quran.. it doesnt tell about Shape of Earth.. thats very weak..
In chapter 88:17,20, it is recorded,

"Will they not regard the camels how they are created...and the Earth how it is spread?"

"We have placed in the earth firm hills lest it quake so as not to sway and hurt people" (21:31).

Yes this is serious. Who do you think JC would go to in this time and age for advice? Remember, he's not just your average joe on the street with only an average knowlage of spiritual endevors and let's also say he's asked 'his father' and is looking for second and third opinions. Let's also assume he's not famous yet (still the undiscovered messiah) and has limmited resourses. I'm not looking for bible quotes, unless you have a well thought out reason for choosing the quote.

I've always wondered why the "story" has to be MALE based.

It seems that man chooses to leave the female out and glorify his image on a stick for all to worship.

Kindof like the pope being a man, the bishops are men, priest are men...etc...etc

I've always thought of GOD as being soooo much more than just a Father a Son and a Spirit!

What is the criteria for a denomination to be labeled Christian? I always thought it was simply that they had to believe that Jesus Christ is their personal savior for the forgiveness of thier sins. Does that pretty much sum up the base-line doctrine of Christianity? How does Mormonism compare to this base-line doctrine?

Christian or non-Christian doesn't make Mormons fundementally evil. Sin is sin. We are to hate the sin and love the sinner no matter what. I only ask because I'd like to know what people think.
