The best religion is the one that works for you. The Dalai Lama says the basic intention of religion is to make you a better person so to that extent which ever one helps you to do so is the best one.

Keep an open mind and when the bible bashers start preaching with over long answers containing 99.99% biblical referrences which boring as hell to read, like anyone bothers, listen to what is inside.
I was once a church going christian. I prayed, went on pilgimages etc but deep down I knew it wasn't right for me. That is what is important. You will get tons of answers saying such and such religion is the true one which is wrong.
If you believe you have a creator or creators then aslong as you don't persecute others, by doing the whole my religion is right and yours isn't, then you can't go far wrong.
For me it is Heathenry, a Pagan path. I have many Pagan friends of different paths, Wiccan and such. We are all very happy and at peace. And it is nice to sit with others of a different religion and not judge them.
It is up to you dear, look around and look into the history of the religion you choose. When I was a christian I read the old testament and looked into the history of it and was horrified. Check things out before commiting to anything. Otherwise you could end up a blind sheep just following the crowd. ALWAYS ask questions and never be put off doing so.
All the best on your spiritual quest.

Surely the 'best' religion is the one which is true? Religion is man made, I have a faith, not a religion. I can only tell you I'm a christian because I met with God through Jesus one day, out of the blue. I was not raised in any faith or indoctrinated in any way. In fact, I had rejected christianity many times, even from the man I eventually married, but if God wants to get your attention, He will. He got mine, and yes some parts of christianity are hard to get your head around, but then again, they aren't my rules, theyre His, and I know I can trust Him.

you can't make people pick one religion. its question like these that make world hate each other...each and every other religion is good for the people who believe in it. if you are a christain you believe in Jesus then you gonna say christanity is the best. i am a muslim and i believe in Mohhamed (pbuh) i would say muslim is the best religion in the world....so you see this generates a hatred between us even though you dont kno me and i dont kno u...... blind faith is when you believe something without seeing it. christanity is blind faith too... did you see jesus transforming in to god or something? becuase from all that i have read all we have for evidence is Jesus's words not a visual.... we can only find out the best religion on the last day and in our life time just hope that we are walking on the right path..thats all we can do..i think it wrong to make people judge other people religions...

There is no best religion.

You have to discover what you personally feel is right for you.

Read books and commentaries on the religions of the world and that will help you discover if you want to choose one of them.

But here's the best part...

You do not need religion. You can simply have your own true faith and belief in God. It's all about what you believe and feel.

Thats a real freedom!

Hinduism is the best. The reason is not because of 2nd or 3rd ... chance. By the way, Buddhism is an offshoot of Hinduism. Non-violence and peaceful co-existence is integral in Hinduism. But what makes these religions the best is that the central philosophy is about REALIZATION as opposed to REVELATIONS. Scriptures in Hinduism in no way tell you how to behave. They portray life issues that are solved by the subject of the story in their OWN WAY. The consequences are also shown. It is totally free of analysis which is left to the reader to perform.

I do not know much about Muslims, what the believe or hpw the got their teachings and what those teachings are.. Buddhism is not a belief system it is meditating and getting enlightened and like the meditating aspects of it and the principles the 4 fundamentals contain principles that would be a force for good idf everyone on earth applied them with each other.
Hinduism who knows the yhave thoyusands of gods but htere was a big flood and vishnu., or something. I believe in the bible ,jesus and that there is one god.

None - they are all primitive, sectarian and best avoided. They have no place in any modern society - and before any of the smartarses out there criticise me - I try to do my bit for the disabled and the otherwise worse off than myself whenever I can. You need no so called "Christianity" to respect and take care of others. If there is a God why would he rob my Father (a regular Chapel goer) of his sight at the age of nineteen?

i believe its not the religion which is best it is ur morals which r best and religion helps u enculcate better morals.and as far as blind faith is concerned ,people now a days have enough sense to distinguish between right and wrong and therefore blind faith doesnot matter.
