I am talking about the mainstream population of muslims.
Is that something that you think is wrong, or are you all for it?

I am comparing this to Christianity and some fundamentalists who hate in God's name and give Christians a bad name. Is it the same for muslims?

If you could give me help with even just one of these questions, it would really be appreciated.
1) Where, when, and how did Judaism begin?
2) Who was Abraham? What role did he play in the founding of this religion?
3) What are the core beliefs of this religion?
4) What are some rules that followers of Judaism must obey?
5) What are some customs/traditions of Judaism?
6) Who was Moses? What role did he play in the foundation of this religion?
7) What are the following holidays:
a) Yom Kippur
b) Rosh Hashanah
c) Hanukkah
d) Passover
8) What are some symbols for this religion and what do they symbolize?
9) What are prophets? (At least 3)
10) How many people in the world today practice Judaism?
Thank you so much in advance!
- Kerry

P.S. Hateful comments will be reported, so don't bother.

I am sincerely asking this because I don't understand - if Christianity teaches you that the only accepting Jesus and asking for his forgiveness matters AND if you are not judged on your actions or works or character - then why be good?

You don't get into heaven by feeding the hungry or sheltering the homeless, you don't get it by helping an old lady across the street, you don't get it by being a good parent and anything that you do wrong will be forgiven.

So why be moral?

In the religion that I was raised in you are judged by your actions and deeds and character which seems to make a lot more sense to me. It would also seem to be a better formula for a good world.

If gays pay taxes and contribute as much to society as anyone else, why shouldn't they too get the same legal advantages of a heterosexual couple?

I don't understand why so many Christians in the US are so obsessed with other people's sex life that they need to pass laws banning gay marriage. It's a friggin' legal contract for golly's sake! Keep the religious part in your church and don't allow gay weddings in your church if that's your religious belief.

More importantly, why can't you just let God make his own decision about it when everyone dies?

If evolution is a lie and the Bible is to be taken literaly than one can only come to the conclusion that the earth is at most only 6000 years old and that there was a global flood. Today there are over two million plus different species of animals. How could Noah fit two of each and on some occasions seven of each into a single boat?

I think the question speaks for itself. I have recently left my religion; but every time I talk with my parents the subject of religion always pops in. I have told them that I regularly miss religious events (without giving true reason of my absence) yet I haven't got the nerve to tell my family that I am agnostic.

I am also very very fearful of the backlash resulting from revealing the truth.

Thanks.

Hello to all my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ! I hope you are all doing well.

I have some questions, however, these questions are only for those who are mature in the faith, who have been Christians for awhile, and who know their Bible really, really well. No offense, but I am looking for solid answers, not conjecture and personal opinion. I hope you will understand. Also, please back up your statements with Scripture. Thanks!

1. Do ghosts exist, or are they really demon spirits? I know that the words "ghost" and "ghosts" are mentioned in the Bible and I also know that the Bible says that people die once and after that comes judgment. However, the subject of ghosts has always been a source of confusion for me as a Christian, and I am hoping that someone can put this confusion to rest for me once and for all with answers from the Bible.

To be continued. If you could, please wait until I have asked all of my questions, or come back later for the others. Thanks!

What I mean is this....Why do we often find areas where we can agree (such as "do unto others as you would have them to do unto you")....and then lose the passion for leading others to Christ, acting as if others are saved by merely following these principles? Can one who does not accept Jesus enter into eternal life? Can we be saved by mere principles?
