Interpretation...plain and simple. And often times, unforunately, people tend to pick and choose what they want to follow in it

You are truly amazing. Pretending to be an Atheist. If you do not believe in the existence of God why do you worry that others believe in God. Are you sacred you are so wrong? Are you scared of the loneliness this brings you knowing there are a handful of people like you? What about writing something against the Islamic belief system? You are just full of hate for the Christians. I have read all your questions on your profile page. You pretend to be an Atheist. You really are just a Christian hater.
What is causing the Muslims to kill Muslims in Iraq? Is the Quran not a more divisive book? Are you converting to Islam then?

how can anyone defend the statement "no self defence" in this day and age? you don't defend yourself, you die. simple as. i really can't believe people are so gullible as to put their lives and others on a supposed 2000+ year old manuscript. are there any other papers from this age? didin't think so. it divides & causes arguments because it can. the greatest fictional book ever written in my opinion, it has been the instigator for the majority of wars, it is a contradictory passage which has 1 sole purpose: divide the world. the gullible take this 'book' as 'gospel' and without hard evidence (not supposed facts written in a hebrew novel) to support this they believe the word of 'others' who were just as gullible as themselves over 2000 years ago. salman rushdie's 'the satanic verses' did a good job of splitting people's and communities views but nowhere near on the scale of the bible. if there is only 1 true god, why so many different religious sects?

No-one who kills is a follower of Jesus' teaching. Nowhere did He say anything to justify it. Quite the reverse, He said to bless those that persecute us, to turn the other cheek when we are struck, not to resist the evil person (in other words, no self defence).

Jesus' teachings on the Christian life can be summed up as Love All, Forgive All, Show Mercy, Judge No-One. There is only division where people ignore or misinterpret the teachings of Jesus Christ and His Apostles.

Darwin's Origin of Species, Marx's Communist Manifesto, Hitler's Mein Kampf and Hobbes' Leviathan are all highly divisive books in themselves (read the last one; Hobbes is rather good). I personally would be more inclined to take a strong stance on any of these four than I would the relics of the "Christian faith", as I'm sure would most others.

Each human has separate views and understanding with themselves. Also a word can have lot of meaning and each person understand in their own way . Like that one bible book understood in many ways and followers become differ from another follower who also followed same way.

Hinduism never ask anyone to convert their religion to become a Hindu. Or it never stop any Hindu like to worship another religion. It's only expects from a human to be kind and clean character with others and own self. But most of the people never like to be that.

Instead of trying to discover what the Bible states, some try to make the Bible state what they want. This causes the problems and apparent contradictions.

Hard to tell. Most religious tomes have certain bloodthirsty aspects towards non-believers. If you want a peaceful, well-balanced, open-minded religion, consider Buddhism, but you may find the message to be a bit dry.
