I've always wondered why the "story" has to be MALE based.

It seems that man chooses to leave the female out and glorify his image on a stick for all to worship.

Kindof like the pope being a man, the bishops are men, priest are men...etc...etc

I've always thought of GOD as being soooo much more than just a Father a Son and a Spirit!

It's called "Christianity".
When men realized that women and Mother Earth were being praised more than themselves, they created a religion that puts all men first.
Maybe when women throughout the world realize this, they will finally stand-up and demand to be treated equally.

It is not a story nor a fairy tale to be changed to please others he only had a son therefore that is who made the sacrifice for us and back in the days women stayed home and raised families so the man had many different jobs or positions in society than women now alot of times due to necessity the woman has to go out to support the household because of our economy. For bishops, popes etc take that up with the catholic Church men were those and nuns were women it may just be their chosen ways still today don't read gender bias into everything there is enough of it for real in the work force

As far as incarnating, you have two choices, male or female. A male would have a chance of being heard in the culture of its day. The "Son" aspect developed because Jesus was male and they wanted to be consistent. (You can't just say "offspring" or "thing".) Some people express a devotion to Mary just to add some femininity to the divine agenda. Others refer to the Holy Spirit in the feminine for the same reasons.

There is evidence that women played a strong role in the early church. But once men got the upper hand, women were relegated to secondary roles. Mosaics were altered or defaced, names in the scriptures were masculinized, physical evidence that women were apostles or bishops was obliterated. The rest is unchallenged tradition.

I think we have to accept what the Bible teaches and that is God sent His son to die on the cross for our sins.
In christianity, there is order, Father, Son and Holy spirit.
God made Adam and Eve,male and female but He did make them in His image. We are all made in God's image.
Jesus, although a man, did not have any feelings as a man, like a man on earth would have. God didn't make the Lord Jesus
to be reproductive, fall in Love, etc.
The trinity is Father, Son and Holy spirit as you mentioned.
I think we just have to respect and accept that Jesus was God's son.
Remember that women DO play an important role in scripture.
Look at Mary - she was a special chosen vessel to carry and give birth to our Lord Jesus Christ.
At the end of the day, we are all made in God's image - and that is perfect whether we are male or female.

That depends on whether or not you care about being in line with historic Christianity. If you want to remain within orthodox Christian tradition, you have to acknowledge that God has chosen to reveal himself as masculine - not necessarily male, mind you - pretty consistently throughout all of Scripture. Because He has. Unless you want to change the actual words of the Bible, you're kind of stuck with that.

If you don't care about historic Christianity or aren't a Christian to begin with, go nuts. It doesn't really matter. As you seem willing to compromise on the Trinity, your committment to essential Christian doctrine is already rather low, so it's a small step to a female/asexual/androgynous god. If that's what you want, you can have it, but don't think that historic Christianity is malliable in this way. It isn't.

Keep in mind, that the most highly exulted of God's creation is Woman (Mary). Christ, while fully human, is also fully God. But Mary, is the fairest (most perfect) of all of the creatures God created. And, since as Genesis states that women was made after man, God truly did save the best for last!

Do not underestimate Woman in Salvation's History!

Peace,

MoP

I read in a book that our religion was started by female pagans so the teenager in me says horny woman made it all but the raging female adult on the outside says men made the religion to rule over woman. Men made the Bible. Men became the Priests. Men made all the rules. Men chose a man to be a prophet.
Now to be truly serious. I would love to be a wiccan. They at lease believe there deity has a female side.

I have always felt that the Holy Spirit was more the female part of the Godhead. It is called Wisdom in the Bible in the Book of Proverbs. I do believe that God is male and female..since it says that in the image of God created He them...

The female has a very important role, and was created in God's image, just like the male. That role, however, does not include being the savior of man, or a samurai.

the factor is.. God can't forgive sins "merely like that"... God's holiness and justice require that the regulation of sin and dying be fulfilled. In different words.. No, God can't "injury His own policies". to establish that God to proceed to be holy and basically a spotless sin bearing sacrifice had to be provided.. That individual is the Lord Jesus Christ. He on my own is the sinless, spotless lamb of God. God forgives sin on the foundation of the artwork of Christ on the flow. God would not rigidity every physique to settle for the unfastened present of salvation. Salvation and forgiveness are experienced by way of people that settle for Christ as their Savior and Lord. "For God so enjoyed the worldwide that He gave His basically begotten Son that WHOSOEVER believes in Him shall no longer perish yet have eternal life." (John 3:sixteen) Jesus pronounced: "i'm the way, the certainty, and the life, no guy is composed of the daddy different than by way of me.'' (John 14:6)
