Has it ever touched you? Made you more trusting in your faith and beliefs? Made you trust more in another set of faith and beliefs?

Here are the lyrics:

Love - Devotion
Feeling - Emotion

Don't be afraid to be weak
Don't be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend
That will be the return to yourself
The return to innocence.

If you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself don't hide
Just believe in destiny.

Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence.

That's not the beginning of the end
That's the return to yourself
The return to innocence.

Personally I am a deist, but it is just a step away from atheism. It is a belief. I dont use christianity that way. Why are people so stupid that they cannot understand that it is a belief. Not devil worship. Not killing babies. Not mass murdering.

Whatever beliefs people follow, why are people so sure they are right about ALL of it?

It's perfectly possible that all groups are right about something and wrong about other things.

Maybe people are right about an afterlife, but wrong a god. Or right about a heaven, but wrong about a hell. And so on.

"History, I believe, furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government. This marks the lowest grade of ignorance of which their civil as well as religious leaders will always avail themselves for their own purposes" (Letter to von Humboldt, 1813)

"Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burned, tortured, fined, and imprisoned, yet we have not advanced one inch toward uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half of the world fools and the other half hypocrites." (Notes on Virginia)

“The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.”

"From: xxxx

Subject: Do research huh?

Message: Obviously you did no research because your comment about the horrors of the 'modern day' was so wrong it made me ill. Okay, did you not read anything I said? Murder, maiming, killing, raping, hurting, war, and every other horror imaginable is in the bible and used as a tool to punish sinners. Adulterers too, so that woman that ran over her husband with her car was practicing God's word. So are all the parents that kill their rebellious children. Things were just as if not more heinous in the olden days then they are now. People were still killed, treated like crap just as today. If anything things were worse, especially in the world of the Catholic tyrants. Next time, don't waste space on my post if you are going to be so stupid. I have no time for such uneducated people like you."

Well, words can hurt and kill (ambition, direction)... and I can't say this person is any better than the ones accused of killing/raping.

Well heck, in the Bible, there were athiests everywhere right along with Christians

Even when Jesus walked the earth, some people figured his miracles were setup and rehearsed.

So you know what, If I must be brainwashed for believing in God

Call me BRAINWASHED, and lets see what happens after death

AND WHO CARES??----Because if I believe in Heaven and Hell, while an athiest doesnt, ---and let's say in fact, that absolutely nothing happens after I die---I certainly WONT feel at a loss because I prepared for a Heaven anyway that wasnt actually there

So there you have it, I CHOOSE to believe, and you choose otherwise, and I respect your decision.

Notice, I'm NOT throwing a Bible scripture in your face, and I'm not preaching Hell and Condemnation---Just saying that we are all accountable to ourselves and our own actions

If you needed me to donate blood to you so you could live, I would

Doesn't the excuse of Israel defy what the definition of Jihad even is?

When will Jihadi Muslims admit they really are at war with the infidel, nonbeliever, the West?

And how offensive can Muslims actually get?-They actually defend what happened to David Pearl;.
We actually have Terrorists and their sympathisers right here on Yahoo!
NO wonder Bush is bombing the Crap out of the Middle East!

(Refer to the Muslim's statements in my last question, It doesn't get much better than that as terrorism sympathy goes)

If you are do you ever feel bad when you sacrifice someone or something?

2006-10-22 10:43:01 · 17 answers · asked by Gdschild 2

After Jesus is baptized, and spends 40 days in the wilderness Satan takes him to the top of a high mountain and says "If you bow down and worship me, I shall give you all these nations for they have been given to me" This clearly states that Satan, not God is in charge of this world.

Then, in both 1st Peter and Romans chapter 13, we're told to obey the governments.

So, how should this conflict be resolved?

People have found out the hard way. After getting up there, realizing that Lucifer is there to help them be a god. I think it is only fair that the Mormon church reveal this truth to the new Mormons who were just baptized into the church.

A few months ago, I decided to re-discover God and the Church. I began going to mass again, praying, went to confession, etc.
But for some reason, I am losing belief in my faith. I am having difficulty believing in God and Jesus and the bible. Sometimes it just doesn't seem logical to me. Sometimes it all seems like a fairy tale. I watch alot of shows on EWTN for guidance and inspiration.
I have often prayed for Jesus or Mary to appear to me to help me with my faith but of course, I never got such an apparition. I guess I am like Doubting Thomas in a way.
Then in doing some Google searches, I came up with this horrible website that I will not name here, but it's a site that gives a lot of different reasons for why God and the bible are not real. Unfortunately, alot of the reasons given made sense to me :(
What can I do? Will I ever get my faith back? I am going through a real tough time right now with an anxiety disorder and my lack of faith is worsening my symptoms. Can ne-one help?

About a year ago, while discussing with some friends the subjects of death, dying and funerals, body and organ donation came up. We all had pretty much decided on donating whatever could be used except one lady. She said, rather proudly, "Not even my hair will be cut when I die!" I was curious about this, and I asked her why. She became VERY upset at me, yelled that it was her right and then stomped away. I know she's catholic, but that's about it as far as belief structure. I thought it might have been some personal thing for her.

Well, today I was discussing the same thing with another group of older ladies, and one said she couldn't. That she didn't want to be resurrected missing a foot or something. My jaw just dropped. She's a Jehovah's Witness and I thought they thought their god was omnipotent and could easily provide her with a new whatever. (My god could.) Is this a common belief or do both have issues? And where in the bible would one find this mentioned?
