Well heck, in the Bible, there were athiests everywhere right along with Christians

Even when Jesus walked the earth, some people figured his miracles were setup and rehearsed.

So you know what, If I must be brainwashed for believing in God

Call me BRAINWASHED, and lets see what happens after death

AND WHO CARES??----Because if I believe in Heaven and Hell, while an athiest doesnt, ---and let's say in fact, that absolutely nothing happens after I die---I certainly WONT feel at a loss because I prepared for a Heaven anyway that wasnt actually there

So there you have it, I CHOOSE to believe, and you choose otherwise, and I respect your decision.

Notice, I'm NOT throwing a Bible scripture in your face, and I'm not preaching Hell and Condemnation---Just saying that we are all accountable to ourselves and our own actions

If you needed me to donate blood to you so you could live, I would

Atheists are as loving, responsible, moral and kind as Christians.

Many of them are even patient with reruns of Pascal's Wager such as yours. :)

P.S. I'm not an atheist. I'm a deist.

You cannot BELEVIE in GOD untill you get your Spirit Recreated.

I only have to Tell the Non-Believer ONCE about Jesus, then he, she has Heard, Will be held Accountable for it---and I have Done my Job.

You'll Fuss and Fight More in the Family of GOD as a Child of GOD with your Bro.'s and Sis.'s in Christ than you will the Non-Believers.

You wanna Hear of a Church-Split, where in the Middle of the Nite, Half of the Church Members who Paid for Half of the Church, and got mad at the Other Half, went in the middle of the night with Chain Saws and Cut the Small Church Building in Half, and took it off on a Trailer.
True Story.
Now is that any way for Brothers and Sisters to Act?
Well, we do it, in the World and in the Church.
Human Beans can be some kinda Thing.
Bless their Little Pea Picking Hearts.
The Common Ground is the Earth.
The Common Enemy is Satan and his angels.
All Human Beans should Learn This and Learn it soon, if you can.

Many of the ethics in the bible are very cool
and shared by most people
but as an atheist I won't come to the party
when it divides and all religions do that, all that other stuff like Adam and eve Revelations and poor old job is beyond me including the ark the list goes on and on..but in your defense its mixed with good ethic ..and that creates a problem
I do donate blood and try to better myself
the bible and god are human creations

As a Pagan I must toss in, Why do you assume you and the atheists are the only ones? Where do we, and the Hindu, and the Buddhist, and the Islamic, and the Zoroastrian, and the Native American Shamanic, and any number of others fit in? Can you truly have common ground if you restrict it to only a minor part of the people?

Exactly. You are brainwashed with the word of God. But try to not ask rhetorical questions, stating why you believe. I understand you are trying to evangelize, but here, is not the place.
Go in the streets! Countless people are waiting for someone bold enough to do so. They are confused, and with your help, you can guide them.
My friends' dad's friend has an 8 year old son that does that sort thing. He has the boldness and the courage to do so, and that's what makes him strong. My youth group pastor's 3 year old son has courage beyond belief.
If you are old enough, travel to other countries, and preach (with the Lord's calling, of course). God must first call you to evangelize, and you have to accept the call to where he is calling you.

Christians believe in the bible because they think it is right, so they think that is good. Atheists want to believe there is no God so there is freedom, so they think that is good. So the common ground is goodness. How you walk through the ground is your own decision.

I agree with you .
We do agree you have the RIGHT to practice religion.
Common ground is that you don`t have the right to tell others that what you practice is THE TRUTH.
Please stop feeling as though you have to indoctrinate everyone on Earth to Believe as you do .
We Atheists don`t have an organized " church that we HAVE to give our wages to ,so that they may continue to deceive the masses.
Let`s shut up and accept each other as people......period,....

I agree that we should get along, and I'd say that generally, we do. I think it's important to have discussions debating this. As long as, in the end, you don't kill someone over it or, for example, refuse to donate blood to someone because of it, that's a different issue.

Finally, someone who actually is smart!!! This is something that bugs the crp out of me. I mean we all believe the 'teachings of jesus'. The are the real lessons anyway, not that he was god. Be a good person, all can agree on that.

what does a blood donation have to do with whether you believe or not. jehovah's witnesses don't even do them. so what's your point.

anyway, you are correct in the fact that you are brainwashed. my concern is that while you live a brainwashed life it overflows into all aspects of my life. for example, religious bosses and coworkers, religious neighbors, religious cops, etc. If all of you are delusional that only leaves a small percentage of people who are sound mind and body. that's scary to me.
