Joseph Smith had 24 wives.
Joseph Smith is a major part of your religion.

Why would this be "ok" and how exactly is it Christ like?
(Serious question, no bashing please)

Isn't using the fear of pain and death to gain personal wealth and power the greatest evil? Isn't overcoming the fear of pain and death to save another the greatest good?

Or do you believe there is no evil or good?

What is a seventh day advocate exactly and do they believe in T.V's? The only reason I am asking this is because we bought a house from this couple and this is their religion and we did not find a T.V in their house so we are wondering if the house is set up for a T.V and they did not build this house. I am just curious about this religion that is all. I am not judging them in any way just wanting to know, I find it kind of interesting myself.

If the only forbidden fruit was the one that gave the knowledge of good AND evil, doesn't that mean that Adam and Eve were immortal (allowed to eat of the tree of life) before they ate the apple? Doesn't Evil require the fear of pain and death to be evil?

Seems like all 3 major religions teach humility in some form or another. I used to be so confident while remaining humble and have gotten away from it. The world can be a tricky place sometimes. Any advice out here? It almost sickens me to look at myself in the mirror and have a sense that the world owes me something. How do I get back w/in myself?

Or do you feel that, even on a sub concious level, we are looking to benefit from a situation even when not appearing to.
I believe we are capable of being alturistic. Just curious as to what others think...

We spend our money on everything, things that we really don't need or could come for free i.e. porn, sex, drugs, alchole, rims, ringtones, flashy jewlery...But the minute "the church" asks for money we have a problem...What we fail to realize is that after ministry the church is a business...Need I say more?

Come on... You know it will be soon! Intelligent design is destined to the same trashcan where they threw Geocentrism and other theories. The church has retracted before, they know they have to or they will keep losing adherents!. We are at the verge of inmortality, with increasingly lifespans, afterlife is no longer a prize good enough to gather the masses. Maybe it is in poor countries, but Ratzinger Z seems to have more interest in europe. And in homophobia. The sheeps have changed, an old fashioned shepperd won't change them back, we need a NEW kind of shepperd, new minds need a new christian Church!
