Nope - did no longer suprise me. He mandatory to attend that church with the intention to be seen as 'black sufficient' interior the black community (do no longer ignore, he's a million/2 white and lived in Hawaii) He attended, he have been given caught up in it. All i comprehend is that it makes me question the 'judgement' he claims to have. It does not look as though he had sufficient judgement to no longer have had Pastor Wright as an consultant for his campaign - even after understanding him for 2 a protracted time and understanding that he's declared those form of issues.

I debated this very issue for a long time and searched the scriptures as well! Tithing was originally a requirement of the Lord to the Children of Israel and bear in mind that the Law was never given to the Gentiles. I can not find a single reference in the New Testament where we are required to tithe. The only reference I can find is that "let every man give as he purposes in his heart" During the Old Testament times the men from the tribe of Levi were the Priests and in order for them to survive, The Lord ordained that they were to be given 10% of the income of each household. Today we have a High Priest (Jesus) who has passed into the heavens and does not rely on earthly means in order to survive. I personally used to tithe but came to the conclusion that it was simply not a requirement of the Lord any more so these days I give as I feel right in my heart. I hope this has been a help to you as the Lord wants our souls through Jesus Christ and not our money.

I think all tithers struggle with this. But continue to do it. You will be blessed for it. The tithe is mine saith the Lord. It will come back to you multiplied.
Churches need to pay the preacher's salary, mostly a small amount where I live, the electric bill , the water bill, music equipment used for praise,Sunday School books, maintenence, cleaning, AND
to the local food shelter, U.S. missions, Carpenter's for Christ, Coats for kids, the Children's Home, Foreign Missions, the Sifat organization [teach people to survive on what is available in ther own country such as digging wells and planting crops], money to neighbors who homes are lost to fire, school supply drive, on and on with the money you give. You help people all over the world.

No, I dont struggle with this because when I give my money away I give it to families that I know need it. I decided long ago that I would eliminate all the middle men, this includes the churches. This way I don't have to worry about how much of my money is really going to those that need it, I know that all of it is. Try it sometime. You'll like it.

All the time. It's an even more difficult choice when you have to choose between food, medicine, utilities, rent, etc, and paying your tithes.
My suggestion - quit grumbling. You should be grateful you have more than most to help accomplish Kingdom goals. Most people won't make 45,000 in 5 years' time - you get it all at once.

I truly hope you joke about giving 10%!
You had better download to paper and then STUDY
http://bible-truths.com/tithing.html
THEN present the paper to you Church Chief Pastor for analysis!
Church on the Southside where I attend immediately stopped any and all talk of Tithing, or what ever.

Giving is a very tough sacrifice. But look at the sacrifice that Jesus took by dying on the cross. I would sacrifice my money first.

A very small percentage of money collected by churches go towards helping others. Give your money directly to the charities of your choice.

It would be better to give that money to a homeless charity. Your church will use it for the ministers pay and for improvements. The money only goes to charity after all church funds are provided for.
