The atheists can hang out in one section to b*tch and groan about christians (and others) and christians (and others) can be in another section to pray for the souls of those non-believers.

Wouldn't that be ideal? This segragation I think is necessary if we are to achieve world peace in Y!Answers.

God bless.

Nietzsche often attacked the morality of the Christian religion . He believed that the Christian idea that you should love other people around you was a bad thing. According to him, "weak people rely on other people's love as a way of protecting themselves. Nietzsche believed that people should be "stronger" than that. Nietzsche thought that human beings would be successful at overcoming themselves, and he thought that when they did, they would be different and better. He named the person who would this someday a "superman" (or "übermensch" in German).
However, what he wrote later in his life became more and more odd. When he was forty years old, Niezsche went insane. Supposedly, one day in the city of Turin, Italy he saw a horse being whipped by its owner and ran to save it, hugging it around the throat. After this, Nietzsche never wrote again and could not look after himself. He remained in an asylum for the rest of his life. And this was the same man who said "God is dead". A man who could not even take care of himself, let alone be a superman. He went mad doing the very thing he despised, exhibiting "weakness" and love, for an animal of all things!

There have been other reminders of such men in past history. One of the most famous was the king of ancient day Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar. he too thought of himself as a "god" of sorts.
Daniel 4: 31 The words were still on his lips when a voice came from heaven, "This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you. You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like cattle. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes."
Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like cattle. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird.
At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored.

I think Halloween is a fun time and it gives me a chance to get a rise out of people though the last 2 Halloween have been expecially bothersome after being arrested for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace just because I dressed up like Bin Laden and ran around the neighborhood yelling "kill the infidels" and threatening to blow myself up. When confronted I would politely explain that this is Halloween and I am entitled to a good time like everyone else. Though my wife and my neighbors as well as the local athorities obviously disagree.

For those who say they follow the 10 commandments. How can these 10 rules decide whether you go to heaven or not when they are practically impossible to follow? How long before anyone on the planet breaks one of them, a day at most I would say. Some of them are just flat out ridiculous.

"Do not covet thy neighbors goods" As George Carlin said, "Coveting keeps the economy going, it creates jobs"

"Respect your parents." How many of us have disrespected our parents so many times before?

And according to the 10 commandments, merely lusting after a woman is already adultery.

"Do not bear false witness." One lie and you're a liar, we've all told lies havent we?

"Thou shall not murder." How many people have been killed in the name of god?

If these are the rules to get into heaven, then we are all seriously screwed. How can this be when they are so hard to follow?

Hadith 4:657

Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly (as a Just Ruler); he will break the Cross and kill the pigs and there will be no Jizya (i.e. taxation taken from non Muslims). Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it." Abu Huraira added "If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): -- 'And there is none Of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and a human being) Before his death. And on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness Against them." (4.159) (See Fateh Al Bari, Page 302 Vol 7)

Why do you bash God, the Creator of heaven and earth, and Jesus, are you bored with your own evolution fairytale or will I call it your "religion" that you have nothing better to think of or are you just not completely "evolved" into something with a brain.

I want to learn Buddhism to practice as a way of life!! Christians = do not send me warnings. I know how you are. I am a simple, unmaterialistic person wanting to be educated on Buddhism and to practice, to live it. I do want to be judged. This has happened all my life. I only want to learn this philosophy to practice daily to walk a peaceful life. To obtain inward peace and tranquility. If I need a teacher, so be it. That is fine with me. Can you provide me as much info. as possible how to walk as a Buddhist person. I do not want to preach it to people. I am not this way. I am a quiet person, one who thinks before speaking-choosing the better words to speak to another. I am kind to all people, even those who are not to me. I forgive others easily. It is my way. But I still have not obtained peace within. Is there a temple in the 92126 area code of Sand Diego California? Can you recommend some very good reading on the subject? Please do. Thank You for all your assistance people.

When one takes a stand against Christianity, are they really considering who their argument is with?

Is it with the professed follower or with the founder, Jesus Christ?

EXAMPLES:

If a professed follower is misrepresenting Christ through hate messages or just plain ignorance, then THE ISSUE IS WITH THE FOLLOWER and NOT THE FOUNDER.

however

If a professed Christian is sharing, in love, the truth that Jesus Christ taught and one still hates the message, THEN THE ISSUE IS WITH THE FOUNDER and NOT THE FOLLOWER.

Do you know the difference? Who are you challenging? Christ or the Messenger?
