The atheists can hang out in one section to b*tch and groan about christians (and others) and christians (and others) can be in another section to pray for the souls of those non-believers.

Wouldn't that be ideal? This segragation I think is necessary if we are to achieve world peace in Y!Answers.

God bless.

I think people should just repsect each other and everything would be fine.

You've missed the point. That would take the game away. There has to be 2 sides for any game.
We'd all be very bored.
Personally I think that if "atheists" or "non believers" had any real certainty about what they continuously assert, they wouldn't be asking questions and "questioning" in the Religion and Spirituality section anyway.

The purpose of Y! Answers isn't world peace.... I thought it was the exchange of knowledge.

Wait, so we're supposed to be striving for world peace amongs the YA R&S crowd? I must have missed the memo.

No, seriously, I think there needs to be another subsection of R&S, but I don't know that it needs to be Atheists/Believers, but maybe something like Religious Questions/Questions to Believers. The difference being questions like those typical of The Retard, "Please pray for ___", "When will ___(religious group X)___ learn ______" would/should be under Questions to Believers. Questions such as "Are Catholics Christians?", "How does your religion understand the following passage?", "Who is your favorite religious figure and why?" would/should be posted under Religious Questions. Of course not everyone would follow the "rules", so eventually it would end up the way it is now.

Nice thought, two problems...

First: How would you enforce such a thing? There is no real way to stop this from happening besides reporting each other for abuse. And that's just wrong in my opinion.

Second: What if we have real questions we want to ask each other? With that "ideal barrier" up, we couldn't do what YA was meant for.

I agree there is a lot of Trolling and grieffing here, but I think there is a lot more people just looking for answers. best wishes.

The only people who visit here are believers in something.

Even athiests are believers because they believe in something.

To require professing Christians only isn't really enough for you I'm certain. Because then you'd be debating with Mormons, Christian Scientists, Jehovah's Witnesses.

Eliminate them and you'd argue with Catholics, Southern Baptists, etc.

Eliminate them and you'd have they guy in your congregation who chews tobacco or drinks wine coolers.

Keep it the way it is, makes it more acceptable when the person you are arguing with is so incredibly different from you.

Want to keep unbelievers away? Just go back to your church, pour a cup of coffee and enjoy the peace and quiet.

It really doesn't matter. I'm getting tired of this today. I've been on here far too long today. I guess I'll retire until another day. I realize there are some people here who don't really want any answers. They just want something else to reticule. I can't believe I've been doing this long enough to reach level 3. Yall have a blessed day!

It would be nice, But they will follow us to the othersites, That is the kind of spirit they are motovated by. Also we have to understand there are many that claims to be Christians, & never had an experince with God for their salvation, That makes them make-believers. But to answer your quesion, Yes. BUt I know that won't happen, & there has not been a question they have ask & I responded to, That I did not have an answer to it. I am a Veteran in the Lord over 36 yrs.

It has been tried... the religion bashers always show up any way... have you noticed that there are damn few legitimate religious questions posted here?... I have been around for 4 months or so and have seen a noticable decrease in honest Q&A ...most who try are disgusted by the filth that is posted to their questions and leave... I have had email from many that say they nolonger even bother seeking an answer here... that is why I accept email questions from posters here. When I see what seems an honest question I invite the asker to email me...

I wish there was one for Witches. I need answers about Devil's Shoestring and can't get any without morons putting their two-cents worth in that doesn't even come close to an answer to the question.

No, because the believers will be just as arrogant and hostile with other believers who don't have the same spin. When people are religious fruit cakes, all it takes is disagreement on the interpretation of one passage and one will hate the other.
