Why would that offend anybody? The Lord Jesus Christ had to become a man so He could die for our sins. He had to be God the raise the third day for our justification. Through David He had a right to be King of Israel and would have been if the Nation of Israel would have except Him. We should thank God that they didn't because if had not die on the cross for our sins we would have all been lost. If He would have been born in a mansion they may have believed that He was their King and the Gentiles would have had no salvation.

No why should it,
It would offend me if he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth because, that's just not man. Not everyone was born rich, and jesus's humble birth represents that.
I feel I can relate to him more, because he knew the value of hard work, as to where a king doesn't.

No... It makes me feel better to know he was like me. The Son of God had to be like man so man could identify...
It makes our relationship more personable and understandable.
Not only did he have a humble beginning, he had a degrading end - dying on the cross... the worse death given.

No. In fact, it was God's choice that it should be this way. If you look at the ministry of Jesus, you will see that he hung out with ragamuffins---total losers and misfits, all the people that upper society rejected. This is the wonderful thing about Jesus---no matter how bad off you are in life he will always love you and if you let him he will always care for you. I have been about as low as a person can go (though not totally at the bottom of the heap) yet Jesus loved me enough to save me and make me one of his ministers. With Jesus there is always hope. I cannot see why anyone would reject him.

No. But if you are offended by such a prospect, don't worry, when He comes again, it won't be so humble and there will be no one that will miss it.

No, Jesus wasn't king and his mission was to be an extraordinary but normal, humble person.

No. Jesus made it very clear that those who seek to be great, are least in the Kingdom of Heaven and vice versa.
