Here is the quote from the scientists that won the nobel prize. "Until then, theoretical physicists had cobbled together small pieces of evidence that the universe and everything in it had appeared suddenly (maybe at the time God Spoke the Universe into existence) about 15 billion years ago from an infinitesimally small point in a vacuum of nothingness".

...is there any of you here with a brain, I meen a real working one, because yet again I got the answers you will get from an ape on my previous question. Here is something Darwin said, was he also stupid?

“As by this theory, innumerable transitional forms must have existed. Why do we not find them embedded in the crust of the earth? Why is not all nature in confusion instead of being, as we see them, well-defined species?”—*Charles Darwin, quoted in H. Enoch, Evolution or Creation (1866), p. 139.

"Not one change of species into another is on record . . we cannot prove that a single species has been changed."—*Charles Darwin, My Life and Letters.

The bible has basic points that are simple and not hard to interpret. Ex salvation & the ten commandments.

Why is it necessary for churches and preachers to creat pages and volumes of dogma? The Bible was written, in many places, metaphoricly. It wasn't meant as a weapon or an excuse. It makes no sense to me that people go through every word and verse in the entire book forensicly like a dirty lawyer. Salvation! Ten Commandments! Simple, Right?

This whole nonsense that people go through where folks get branded "anti" -something just because they have x belief between themselves and God has been given enough wasted effort by churches. When it gets confusing, it has more chance to be political.

Some clergy will convince people that someone will come to the door and confiscate their Bible if they vote for Joe Blow. How do people get stupid enough to fall for that? Is the brain stunted.

Spirituality is about one's own self improvement - not what's wrong with whoever

She has gone to church all her life, but the church said she would not be able to go anymore if she married me because I am an atheist and have been divorced. Yet if I was a Catholic who killed his wife then that would be Ok. Needless to say she hardly goes to church at all now, not because of anything I said but because of the churches own policies, she has also started to take contraception now as she does not want to have a child out of wedlock. Is it right for the Catholic church to force women to break with their faith to live in the modern world.

*****And please no tit for tat answers about how good the Protestant faith is compared to the Catholic, I am an athiest and really could not care who has the best faith, if I had to choose one it would be Budism or Islam or something like that and not any of the Christian ones.*****

I am confused, and I hope I get some good answers now, otherwise I will understand why some say evolution is stupid.
1 Why is the biggest desert in the world +- 4400 years old?
2 Why is the oldest tree only 4400 years old?
3 If the moon is moving away from the earth at about 20cm per year, why can we still see it?
4 When a star explodes, it makes a nova, or if it realy big, a super nove. Why do we only have +- 300 nova or super nova's in space, and scientist says that about every 30-50 years one explodes, shouldnt we have allot more if the earth is millions of years old?
5 If you work out the population growth, and you work it backwards, you will find that about 4400 years ago there was about 8 people that started the population. Why is that?

No stupid answers, help me out here please

I m a devoted muslim and wish peace upon all of u nice ppl - whether u r of my religion or not, may u all enter heaven with God's kindness and mercy. I favour monotheism - for their is a God, and clear signs he exists.
However my point is against atheism, bcos if u think properly u shall understand that without justice and law there would only be anarchy and crime and all things selfish-Take for example why is there a police force and a justice dept. in any country-certainly to care of reducing crime. Its the same with religion, except that God is the judge:and if peole did not belive in God they would stop being good and start to do everything to get what they want, embracing evil as they do so.
I know that good atheists will never hurt us-but when God is banned from the earth, the world will be hell,a place for criminals and a state where all selfish and evil tyrannize.
Finally, God had kept peace in mankind through religion and it should never be banned. Peace upon all mankind.

I do not care what name you call god by. I do not care what your religion is. I do not care where you live. These three things and more have no meaning to me. I am a human being and you are a human being. We both are stuck between a rock and a hard spot!

This is what I want to know about what you "think" not "feel." If god, a very big if, is so loving, is so caring, is so compassionate, why throughout all of human history has there been so many tears, so much suffering for human beings?

Forget about personal belief or person passion, tell me using reason and logic!

I believe god is selfish, I believe god is ambivalent, I believe god only loves god! I also believe that is gods right since god is the creator all things. But make no mistake god is only about god!

Have fun but be safe!

If I were god you would know me!
