I do not care what name you call god by. I do not care what your religion is. I do not care where you live. These three things and more have no meaning to me. I am a human being and you are a human being. We both are stuck between a rock and a hard spot!
This is what I want to know about what you "think" not "feel." If god, a very big if, is so loving, is so caring, is so compassionate, why throughout all of human history has there been so many tears, so much suffering for human beings?
Forget about personal belief or person passion, tell me using reason and logic!
I believe god is selfish, I believe god is ambivalent, I believe god only loves god! I also believe that is gods right since god is the creator all things. But make no mistake god is only about god!

Here is a true answer, God is a figure of your imagination and it's true. It is something that society and different religions have adapted in order to make themselves feel better and send false hopes and prayers too, for selfish gain. Honestly think about it if there was actually a "GOD" wouldn't there only be one religion? But no because humanity has so many different interests and habits that they created a religion to follow and try to enforce upon opther people, but since some didn't like that one they branched off and created countless others that succumb to their own selfish needs. Think about how every different religion looks down on the others. I could go on and on stating things in history that happened because of religion. Just to name a few try the holocost, the holy land crusades, and more recently the Indians and the English.
Personally i don't belive in anything, i just think people should live their lives happily and not worry about the strife that religion makes. Seriously look at the world and all the hate and vindication that happens because of religion.

God is the end result of a failed search for truth by a very shallow mind, provided that any search was made at all instead of swallowing the pile of delusional bilge that was spoon fed to you as a child. You would think that a god might show his love for humanity once in a while by some intervention that would demonstrate that love. Does prayer work? Hundreds of millions prayed for God to stop Hitler, but God did nothing and 30 million+ died. Either God is heartless, powerless, both, or does not exist at all.

My friend all the tears all the suffering has been bcos human beings have refused to listen to GOD.. Have u ever listened to the small voice in ur heart tht has sometimes warned u against certain things tht proved to be didsatrous for u later cos u ignored tht voice... Well thts why all the tears n suffering cos we refuse to listen to God and walk in our own ways n then blame God when things go wrong... Buddy u wudnt even have the right to make choices if it was not for Him.. He has prepared a way for us to follow tht leads us to happiness but he hasnt forced us to follow Him thts how selfish God is.. He even knws what u think of Him but He still loves you thts how loving He is..Its good u have a question abt God now talk to Him for He listens n hoping u will get ur answers.. This is not how i feel this is what i think... and to know How i feel well! all i can tell u is He is wonderful and nothing is impossible in this world for me when He is beside me... Amen

First of all people believe in God to help them through struggle and suffering. God is the support system, If you have a problem you can always pray and ask God to help you.
Life is about learning lessons, you need to suffer in order to be happy. Sometimes there is more suffering than Happiness.
God wants us to be happy but in order to obtain that happiness you need to struggle and suffer, at the same time having Faith helps you get through the hardship and obstacles God gives to you. By making mistakes and learning lessons, you are learning to experience and Live.
On the other hand you will never be God, and if you think God is selfish, you need to reconsider what you are saying, you really dont know God if you are saying all these things. You can only talk about a subject if you know them up close and personal. Consequently I believe you have no intentions of getting to know God.

God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.
He came in the image of man and what did we do. We tried to destroy him because we did not believe in him. So, now we are faced with hardships and tears and suffering, because that is what we want. This is what we want to see for ourselves. This is what reminds us that we are alive. The moment you stop hating the things that go on around you then and only then can you truly understand life has a balance. Life and death - only the spirit lives forever. Now the only way GOD will start to show mercy is when people like you stop thinking about your suffering and self and start thinking about what GOD wants for you. After all how would you feel if your wife wanted a child and you gave her one to show her how much you love her and her brother killed it, because he didn't believe it was yours.

Just like a parent god has to let his children go through trial and tribulation. If god did everything for one what would you learn? It's unfortunate but what is the way that humanity really shows love for one another and when? As it is now we get so wrapped up in our everyday life that we din't have time for our fellow brothers. Could you imagine what this world would be like if we were all spoiled rich kids that got everything we wanted? Would we help or care about our brothers? May peace and love be with you.

Using reason and logic, and not personal feelings about God is exactly what you did in the last part of your question, so it's really not fair of you to ask us not to. By the way, God is spelled with a capital and If you were God, you would know that.

Why is it that you get to profess what you believe and we do not?
But to answer your question, why the suffering? Because of sin. We choose badly all the time, therefore we suffer.
