then why do most (or all) Christian (fundimentalists) say that non-Christians are going to Hell because of their bad religion choice? A judgement, although irrelevant due to His dying, not based on "good works", but faith in Him (AKA Jesus) convicts every person to the afterlife ruled by Him?

("power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely").

Shorter/sweeter answers have a better chance of being read and therefore winning the judgement that I, as God of this question, will deliver upon thee.

From what you see in the Religion and Spirituality section, would you say that different religious beliefs cause a bigger rift between people, or strengthen bonds between people with the same beliefs?

If you think both, which do you think is the bigger impact on R+S as a whole?

Y!A is just a small sample of the world.

Apply your same conclusion to the world. Thoughts?

Where in the bible does it state that being non-christian is a sin. Or being pagan (specifically) is a sin? I was told in my youth that pagans were devil worshippers, well, i grew up , picked up some books, read a little.. and realized i was lied to A LOT about things.. however recently again i was told the bible stated that being non-christian specifically was a sin. I know it says not to worship other gods, etc.. but to list the other religions, and stating christianity is the only right way... Where?
Again, if i knew the answer, i would not ask .. so please serious people only. thanks!!

Most all religions say they are the one true religion.

So people follow their own religion and they "know in their heart" it is the right one, well then can we not presume that there is no "RIGHT" religion to follow?

As well that anything supposidly rightous is in actuallity created for some agenda or another.

Does he not have to look at the continuous harmony of all the heavenly bodies in the universe?
The one and only duty of each living being is self preservation. To that end the worship of a god is self preservation. One can only be in harmony with nature when he works for self preservation. There are universal laws governing each of thing as we are part of the universe as matter and thus inseperable.
Do you know in the vedas the supreme being is refered to as the "Brahman" which also means the universe. Thus worship and aspects of hinduism are to live in harmony with the laws of nature. Nowhere does it say that this should not be done and this should be done. It says laws of karma govern and affect your actions. To give an example anger against others is said to burn you up inside and contrary to self preservation thus to be avoided best.
Please read about hinduism to know about all this and a concept of god like that.

Not, why does Xreligion hate Ybelief, but why do YOU hate. Regardless of religion, we all hate at some point in our lives.

An example with me is, the closer an event is to my family (ie, someone hurts us) the easier it is for me to hate them then if the event happened to someone else. I still hate my sister's ex for hurting her. Hurting people that I care about causes me to hate.

So, why do you hate? How do you overcome it?

I know firsthand some offerings of this type have been used for vacations and materialistic things for the pastor and his family. How do you justify doing so when the money could have fed or clothed others? What would Jesus have done?

Do you ever let the bashing bother you personally, or do you just play along??

It doesn't bother me in the least. I'm not threatened by faceless internet people who don't seem to know any better.

How does it affect you?

I just realized that atheists and christians are exactly alike. 2 sides of the same coin, 2 extremes. They are both stuck on one way of thinking and refuse to be open minded. Thats why they hate each other so much. They are the same.

Please understand I ask this question only because I'm tired of hearing the same old "if God created the universe, then who created God?".

God is infinite. It says so in scripture. God is from "everlasting to everlasting." If you want a logical reason for this outside of the Bible just think, if time and space began at the big bang, then anything that caused the big bang would exist outside of time and space. Meaning the cause would be free of the constraits of time and thus infinite.

Now back to the mathematical concept of infinity. Consider the domain (- infinity, +infinity). Where does this domain begin or end? The obvious answer is that it doesn't. If something doesn't have a beginning then it doesn't need to be created.

Do you see how if we believe in an infinite God, he has no need to be created?

Note: this is not an ultimate proof that God exists but simply an elimination of a need for God to be created.

The Bible says that we know in part.
Also, what is required for salvation? Generally we say that we need to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, believe He died and rose again, as a sacrifice for our sins, accept Him, etc.
In the doctrine of salvation, do we ever find that perfect knowledge is a requirement? absolutely not. We can be saved, and yet have a very limited knowledge of God's word.

A person can also be saved and have inaccurate interpretations of certain scriptures. Does it mean they don't love God?

There are many denominations.... do you think that the only saved people are in your denomination? Do you think everyone else is deceived by Satan? Don't you think someone else could be right on something, when you think you're right? we know in part.

Are you living in fear?

Let's examine what we think of our brothers and sisters in Christ, and see if our attitudes toward them are right.

Are we humble, as our Lord taught us to be?

Why is it so difficult for some people to view portions of their Bible as metaphoric while they have no problem viewing other portions of their Bible as metaphoric.

Who says which scriptures are to be taken as a literal value and which are not to be taken as a literal value.
