Hey ushe. It seems you'll have to give the best answer to me again. Look at those foolish answers. OK back to your question
It is one of the best quotation I have had in my collection. It simply means that our good days are like spring when everything seems cheerful. The whole world is rejoicing and singing and everyone is just enjoying himself forgetting the One Who is the source of his happiness ie. God. But when we suffers from some enormous tragedy than the One we remember immediately is God. We immediately hurry towards Him to find peace, comfort and Shelter. Don't forget the earthquake in India and Pakistan. The whole Kashmir valley was kind of.. shattered but the people went in shelter of God. He was their only shelter. Don't forget the 11/9 incident when people forget about cast and creed and took the shelter of God. We were all bent on our knees before God, praying for the one who lost their life and praying for those who were suffering.
When ever there comes wild storm we took the shelter of God.
Kabir Das Ji have well said:
DUKH MEIN SUMIRAN SAB KARE
SUKH MEIN KARE NA KOI
JO SUKH MEIN BHI SUMIRAN KARE
DUKH KAHE KO HOI.
I am not satisfied with my explaination coz this quotation is very meaningful which is easy to understand but hard to explain.

In a hurricane, the finest art on the finest paper will not save you from death -- a five foot thick concrete wall on all six sides of you will though. So what's beauty got to do with it? Sure, God is a beautiful shelter (well, would be if he existed...)

The strong shelter though is reality. With reality, you learn to pack up and head to high ground and let the storm do what it wants instead of sticking your fingers in your ears and close your eyes and say, "I can't see it I can't hear it, it can't hurt me, I'm surrounded by beauty!"

There's a song by Casting Crowns called "Praise you in this storm" that says just about what you did. I feel like that when life gets you down God gets you through and makes you stronger.

Why do you make the assumption that the 'world becomes a wild storm'. You might as well ask the question 'what should we do when the world becomes a majestic banana', it is equally meaningless.

look around you, think about life and lift yourself up from the restrictions of unfounded faith.

What I do know is that when God sends us that Storm you are talking about he said he would never leave us or forsake us and that is very comforting. A preacher once said to close your eyes and see if you can see Jesus. I do and his arms are stretched out to hold me through everything no matter what comes my way. With God we have everything but without we have nothing.
May God Bless You!

First of all, when looking for a shelter, beauty is not my main requirement. I don't care how ugly something is, it would be much better to be inside a run-down brick building than a building made of fabulous stained glass.

Secondly, I prefer to find my own shelters than rely on other's imaginary ones.

But what if God, or more to the point, man's perversion of him, is the reason for the wild storm?

I so agree with you. Don't be afraid of those rejecting your thoughts...they are not rejecting you, but they are rejecting God.
Keep up the good work!

I'm not sure if a "Storm" is the same as a "storm", but either way, I disagree.
