Not, why does Xreligion hate Ybelief, but why do YOU hate. Regardless of religion, we all hate at some point in our lives.

An example with me is, the closer an event is to my family (ie, someone hurts us) the easier it is for me to hate them then if the event happened to someone else. I still hate my sister's ex for hurting her. Hurting people that I care about causes me to hate.

So, why do you hate? How do you overcome it?

root of hatred is fear. when we start feeling insecure from someone and we feel that thi sparticular person might take our place,(at work, in freinds, etc) we start hating them.

the hardest part is to overcome hatred. but one easy way is that know ur potentials that won't make u feel insecure. so, when the insecurity is gone, hatred vanishes as well.

Well, I have hated before, and last time it was because someone started an argument with me, then ended up saying all kinds of hurtful things. She just completely attacked my character and every little thing about my life, when I'd thought I was a pretty good person. So, it did some damage. I felt really bad about myself for awhile, and I hated her.

But I've overcome my hate because of God.
Jesus said we are to love everyone, and as a follower of Jesus, I believe it is so important, so I've tried to practice that, and it's helped me a lot.

I used to hate my fiance's brother. He was, is, and always will be a 'bottomfeeder' to put in nicely. However, when you realize that when someone hurts you or your loved ones, there's a lesson to be learned. Did someone break your heart? What did you gain from it. At least you experienced it. My brother's NEVER been in love and NEVER got his heart broken. I'd say he missed out on a huge experience. Think of all the good that happens when something negative happens. My friend was killed by a drunk driver, her mom, dad, sister, me, and all of her friends created a support group for families who's lost others in drunk driving accidents. The point is...usually when something goes wrong or something hurts you or your loved ones, there's a lesson in it whether it be strength, understanding, patience, etc. You have turn your negative emotions/negative experiences into something positive or simply release them.

hate may be a stronger word than what I would use in long term situations. a strong dislike would be more suitable for this but in short term agree hate is definitely the word. you can say or do anything to me you want and I don't care but if you hurt my loved one this is another story.

We hate becuase it's in our human nature to get angry and hate. How do you overcome it? That depends, are you a thinker or a feeler? I can tell you that if you hate others, you are hating yourself, i can tell you hate is just hurting you and nobody else. It depends on what makes sense to you.

I only hate those that did wrong to me .
It`s a defense mechanism .it is not a bad thing unless we let it get out of controll.
