You can't see air or a brain does that mean they don't exist
...I mean, 'WTf'.
This is just the response I wanna tear apart right now because it seems commonly used and one of the most annoying, but I could do the same to pretty much all of them:

This is a prime example of basic reasoning and a simple-mind. In that statement, it is suggesting that Atheists say they don't believe in god because they can't see them. Never on yahoo answers have I seen an atheist respond to the question 'Why don't you believe in god.' with 'because I have never seen him.' I believe the correct answer is 'because I have no proof.' Although, as I believe the christians are referring to the naked eye just to show their short horizon of thought, we CAN see air and a brain with certain equipment...but more importantly, even without seeing them we can prove they are there, much unlike god, which makes this a broken analogy. What's even worse is when they put something like 'when are atheists gonna...

I must wonder, especially when humanoid skeletons with ape characteristics have been found in Africa, what proof is there that evolution didn't make us what we are? I really don't want an answer containing something non-scientific or proven, so keep the bible quoting to a minimum please.

I definitely DO NOT believe this, following is why I don't believe this nonsense : In reality, the Bible claims (and experience confirms) that everyone has a weakness (Romans 3:23; 5:6-8). We also need to define "weakness". What is true weakness? On the one hand we have the self proclaimed sufficient person who argues that they don't need anyone and their goal in life is to avoid things they don't want to do (Luke 12:16-21; 16:19; 2 Timothy 3:1-4). On the other hand we have the Christian, one who has acknowledged that mere human wisdom fails to have the right answers for how to live (Jeremiah 10:23). They have admitted that they have sinned, and that they cannot save themselves. They willingly have submitted to the instructions found in the Bible. Now these instructions command them to: Love their spouses unselfishly, to place others first, to personally and in private seek to patch up strained relationships, to personally approach another in sin and seek to bring them to repentance, to deny self, to spend time with their children and discuss the serious things about life, to approach neighbors and strangers with this message, to do things for the right reason, to have sincere motives, to always treat others in a way that is in their true best interest, to be forgiving and forbearing, to remain patient during the most difficult of situations, to accept the truth no matter how hard it hurts and to show kindness to our enemies. Now, which person is "weak"?

Please take a moment to reflect on the beauty of human life.
Let us always rejoice in the gift of life, not destroy it.

My question is, do you honestly respect life?

Just a little blip in the human evolutionary path, the following of religion will eventually go - might take a few more generations though, depends on peoples willingness to understand education and fact rather than tales - will the human animal still have to link up with some structure or 'club' ?. And will it be many clubs so that wars and suchlike can still be started ?. (all wars are currently started in the name of religion).

I don't. Here is why :
many true scientific advances have only testified to the accuracy of the Bible. Advances in science have disproved the theory of Spontaneous Generation and have supported the Biblical view that life can only come from pre-existing life (Genesis 1:12,24), as well as giving us the Laws of Thermodynamics (Genesis 2:1; Hebrews 1:10-12), and has revealed how much influence the mind has over the actions of the body (Mark 7:20-23). One writer said, "nothing that stops with science can be the whole truth." Science can develop more efficient ways to abort babies, but science can't answer the question, "Should we?" Science has developed painless ways to kill the elderly, but science can't answer the question, "Is it moral?" Science has enabled people to have sex change operations, but science can't answer the question, "Is it right?" One writer responded, "Science can only tell us what can be done; it can never answer the question whether it should be done. It can tell us that x number of people (or percentage) commit adultery; it cannot tell us whether they should." Actually the opposite to the above argument is true. Scientific advances have made belief in God more crucial than ever.

leads to each person wanting to relate to the supreme god in their own way! Why view polytheism as wrong, the religions that are polytheistic are only so because they have accepted other peoples right to relate to whatever figure they relate to so people can live in peace. They claim christianity is still monotheist but sects differ very much from some praying to jesus and other to yahweh and some trying to dignify their own version of trinity as monotheistic compared to the old religions like hinduism. When does the world start to understand each has their own right to believe or not in whatever they want to as long as they don't hurt others. it is belief of the individual that is important and not the cultural icon. Does God who created all understand only one language and gets offended if he's called krishna instead of jesus or Allah? That would make him a very mean kid! Isn't it important to be spiritual rather than a religious fanatic.

I am appalled by some here who call them selves Christian. God says to LITERALLY bless those who curse you.

That you WILL be reviled for my name. Why all the insults towards nonbelievers, when the Bible says clearly that there are some that God will turn over to a reprobate mind....or that when Christ returns EVERY knee WILL bend...EVERY tongue WILL confess that Jesus Christ IS LORD!!

If nonbelievers insult, name call, mudsling..let them do it...

So if you have done these things, consider yourselves reproved...and rebuked if necessary.
