I think it will be a mixture of climate change, a lack of resources and irresponsible leadership.

Today - globally - there is enough food being produced to feed every 6 billion human 3000 calories a day (so i've heard, never confirmed it myself), so if that is true then i would think that starvation will not be the reason. With so many nuclear weapons it is inveitable that someday something goes awry. It's an interesting subject.

No, I think the rapture will be soon. After Israel became a nation again, the next prophecy on the list to be fulfilled is the rapture.

After Christ's 1,000 year reign on earth, the universe will be destroyed and there will be a new heaven and a new earth.

2 Peter 3:10-12, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?"

Revelation 21:1, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea."

So, I believe what the Bible tells about it.

How?

Iraq and Afganistan conflicts continue. As more troops are lost, journalists are removed from the countries, carpet bombing and chemical attacks are launched against the Iraqi and Afgan people. Arab Nations attack Israel with massive co-ordinated offensive. Israel fights back with support of US, UK etc. Pakistan then decides India deserves to get some too (for it's opposition to Islam) and launches missile attacks. Russia then back up India along with the US allies. Arab nations refuse to supply oil to the West. All stock markets crash. Western allies attack all Arab Nations in order to ensure supply of oil and attempt to regain control over the global economy. Members of Al Qaeda living in US, UK and Israel detonate home made nuclear devices in NY, London and Tel Aviv.

Then the obvious happens: first western neutron bomb strike is Mecca and then all the organisational cities in the Arab world. It would no longer be an attempt to win a war. At that point it would be an all out attack on Islamic countries which would not stop until they are destroyed. Shoot on sight policies introduced in western countries with regards to Muslims or suspected Muslims..... I think you get the picture.

And all the while we watch helplessly as twenty or thirty stupid, arrogant, pathetic, politicians throw our lives away safe in the knowledge that they won't have to justify their actions before the next election because there won't be another election.....ever.

Never mind, it's not the end of the world.

No the world will not end Soon... The rapture will come soon, then 7 years of tribulation for those who are left behind, then 1000 years of Jesus reigning on earth, then the great battle of Armageddon, then the world will end and God will Create a new on for those who are in heaven.

So if the rapture happened today then we have at least 1007 years before the end of the world

If you read the bible alot of things that are mentioned in the bible are happening today. I do believe that we are living in "End Times" I think that we are closer than we ever was to the end of times but I'm not sure how close. I feel like we have to go through a lot of things worse than what is going on before something actually happens.

What you mean is the end of human civilization.. most likely at the end of another world war or nuclear war.

It will end soon enough, the way we are treating each other and all of the accidents and shootings, we are bound for destroying this world as we know it, sorry to say. Not to mention the nuclear destruction that could be awaiting us.

It matters not to me. I'm living life to the fullest cause I don't know when the world is gonna end...mine could be over tomorrow for all I know. If I worry myself with such sad thoughts, I won't be able to live for the moment, and that's what I'm choosing to do.
