I am appalled by some here who call them selves Christian. God says to LITERALLY bless those who curse you.

That you WILL be reviled for my name. Why all the insults towards nonbelievers, when the Bible says clearly that there are some that God will turn over to a reprobate mind....or that when Christ returns EVERY knee WILL bend...EVERY tongue WILL confess that Jesus Christ IS LORD!!

If nonbelievers insult, name call, mudsling..let them do it...

So if you have done these things, consider yourselves reproved...and rebuked if necessary.

I agree with you. I'm more harder on the people in church especial if they been living the Christian in lifestyle for awhile. I've seen so so many newborns trying all they can to be a Christian and they look up to people who are, and a Christian will say something to them not meaning any harm and in turn the newborn gets offended and leaves the church or worst turns back to their old lifestyle. I get very upset when newcomers or visitors come to church for the first time and nobody in the congregation introduces themselves cause members are fellow-shipping with each other. There's nothing wrong with fellow shipping, but when someone new walks into that church they should be priority!!! I am for the under dog so to speak, and try to take the newcomer under my wing if they let me. I know from reading the Bible that I can take the best Christian around and make him look like DIRT with the Bible, and on the same token I can make the worst person look like GOLD with the Bible. So I have to ask myself is God being Glorified by what I'm doing? By running non-believers in the ground surely isn't glorifying Him. IHS

You know Im in the process of finding which religion is right for me. And to be honest from what I've read on here and on blogs, I think Christians are the most hypocritical. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but like you I'm appalled. I believe in God, and He loves us all. I see Christians dissing everything, don't get me wrong I see others too, but I find the Christians are the worst for it, because they seem to cram their beliefs down the throats. Others are just defending themselves.

Good point..

What's amusing, in a perverse sort of way, is that if the Bible was evenly remotely close to being truthful, the Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell clones will be in the deepest levels of hell below the atheists.

God hates people who pretend to be Him.

That's what that commandment about using the Lord's name in vain refers to, and what is meant by "blaspheming the Holy Spirit."

But, they are blinded by their own wickedness and evil.

Many have cursed me and stuff...but I just let them carry on, and when they finally say they're sorry, I forgive them even if they could be lying!! I've gotten over that stage of carrying a grudge around!! This one girl who I literally hated for years, I've totally forgiven what she has done towards me and others!! I pray for her...and now I like her (as a friend...although she doesn't know so)

But it's better to forgive and forget!!

Bear in mind not all Israel is Israel, but only those born again. Wouldn't you plant hypocrites in your enemies camp if you could? So does the deceiver. I believe some intentionally pretend to be Christians also so as to make the rest look bad.

Did not Jesus condem the Scribes & Pharisees, & told them exactly what they were & what he thought of them, Didn't Jesus also said You are of your father the devil, because he was a liar & murdered from the beginning. Now there is more i can bring up what Jesus said if you want me to.

I'm sorry. I am not Christian, but I had to drop in anyway.

BLESS YOU for your sentiments!! You have my promise to try harder to get along if others do.

You obviously don't understand the Bible and just pick out verses that conveniently back up your statement...
