the suicide rate is higher than the homocide rate? I already have my reasons and I am curious to know what is yours.

BTW- The largest of that ratio are native americans. And the state with the largest rate is Alaska.

I'm a bi Athiest woman and I recently made a blog entry about possible uteral illness. I received this comment from a stranger:

People suck sometimes. Everybody does at one point or another. I don't know what drew me to your blog, or why I feel compelled to comment. We wouldn't appear to have too much in common, as I am a male, heterosexual, Christian - but none of that matters. My heart breaks to see the pain that you are in, and to see how sad that makes you. I am not here saying that I will pray for you or anything of that nature, I am just one human being who feels compassion for another. I hope that you find some answers, to your medical issues, and to any of the other things that are troubling you. I see that you have a lot of friends here, don't hesitate to call on them, and just realize that there are a lot of good caring people in this world, though they may not always seem to be right under our noses. I wish you the best and hope that things start to get better for you.

LOVE or PEACE? And they are not the same, but compliment each other's very well. For instance, people find peace(comfort) in love. They are not the same, but compliment each others very well. The goal of these two combined is to find happiness. I know we all want happiness, but some find it in LOVE, while others find it in PEACE.I myself covet peace more than love. Love hurts while peace soothes the soul.

Let me put forth an example. When people are in love, it is peace that keeps a relationship stable. You may love that other person, but it is the peace of the other person you find comfort in.(Though every relationship is different, I am just putting forth an example)

LOVE is powerfull, but peace is tranquil.

The message of Christianity is that God will torture you by casting you into hell for all eternity if don’t bow your knee to him and confess Jesus as Lord and savior. That is coercion just like someone putting a gun to your head and giving you a choice of handing over your money or dying.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away: behold, all things are become new" (II Corinthaisn 5:17). and im talking about devils who've been at this 30 years. look dummies. i know 10 chirstians only 1 is decent.

It occured to me when i saw them put coins on the eyes of the dead pope (symbolism that was used by Ancient Roman and Greeks when they worshipped "Pagen" gods) plus the way Catholics have statues of patron saints with individual spheres of interest, that they seem to worship/ pray to in a similar way Romans would pray to inividual gods. I am wondering if the religions kind of merged. Like sometimes happens in corperate mergers alot of the work practices of one company are implimented by but the stronger brand gets the company name.

all religions are fast dying out, and atheism based on humanism is emerging as the new religion. is it because lies and superstition thought in all religions are now been realised by increasing numbers of thinking people?

so I may be a little uninformed on this...
but I thought it said somwhere in the bible that if you had faith the size of a mustard seed you will be saved..but I also have recently joined a church and they said somthing about the 3 things you have to do being:
1)Repent
2)Be Baptised
3)Recieve the Holy Ghost
So is it one..or the other or both?
Everytime I ask a Q like this I get some weirdo who thinks they need to yell at me and fly off the handle. So just remember this is how we learn...by asking!!! be nice!! :)

My mother is a die hard christian and she can argue the wings off a butterfly when it comes to her religion. She can quote the bible from beginning to end, throw historical facts at you to back it up, and weave in the philosophies as well. All we seem to get on this site are a bunch of borderline retarded children saying "god is love, I love my god, whuts wrong wit u?"
Where are the real, educated, intelligent, thinking christians who have made an actual CHOICE to believe as opposed to these idiots who believe in god, santa and the easter bunny? WHY ARE YOU LETTING THESE IMBECILES MAKE FOOLS OF YOU ALL????????????

I have often heard it argued that abortion is wrong because some young mother may abort the second coming of Christ. But if this is possible, isn't it equally likely that the Anti-Christ would be aborted, thus averting the apocalypse?

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

If you're a really nice guy in hell, and spread cheer and all, can you get off at like 2 lifetimes, cause I can't see why you'd need eternal punishment for finite misdeeds.

There are so many christians out there in the world who have never read the bible. And I am far from being the most knowledgeable or prudent, but it just puzzles me. I have a lot of friends who believe in jesus, yet have never read the bible. But were brought up in churches. Why is it that so many christians have never ead the bible? I am not a christian and I have even read the bible. Can someone give me a good reason why, instead of just laziness?

why would he watch his son be tortured and killed before he decides to forgive you all your sins? and if he lets his son get all that disrespect and torture and be killed how do you think he will be merciful to you IF NOT TO HIS OWN SON?

and if Jesus was god himself why does he need all that to happen to him before he forgive you?

I believe that God is the most merciful so I can't believe this is what really happened.

I have to laugh and ask if anyone else is with me in saying that IF I wound up in hell they wouldn't keep me as I would most likely get in trouble for trying to spread love and cheer even there. Who is with me in this? And YES I am a Christian so I have no plans to go there.
