My mother is a die hard christian and she can argue the wings off a butterfly when it comes to her religion. She can quote the bible from beginning to end, throw historical facts at you to back it up, and weave in the philosophies as well. All we seem to get on this site are a bunch of borderline retarded children saying "god is love, I love my god, whuts wrong wit u?"
Where are the real, educated, intelligent, thinking christians who have made an actual CHOICE to believe as opposed to these idiots who believe in god, santa and the easter bunny? WHY ARE YOU LETTING THESE IMBECILES MAKE FOOLS OF YOU ALL????????????

Never said I was a christian, in fact I'm far from it. I'm just upset with the hundreds of insipid mindless people--I hate engaging an unarmed person in a battle of the minds

As much as it pains me to admit it...you are correct. Though "God is love" and it is never a detrimental statement to say "I love my God" This does nothing to appropriately represent our faith to non-believers and skeptics. Nor does it effectively relate the message of Christ's sacrifice and the gift that is offered through Him. Yes, I shudder in agreement with you, sir.

I answer as often as possible questions directed at Christians in order not only to distinguish myself from most others on this site, but also to try to insure our message is being projected as accurately as possible...to break down the normal stereotypes given to Christians, such as that we are too busy judging and condemning others to get anything done for God's kingdom. Though true of MANY (I would ashamedly say the majority) this type of attitude is everything that Christ came to do away with.

Be Blessed and Blessed Be

I LOVE "argue the wings off a butterfly." That's awesome.

Anyway, I happened upon this quite by accident. I have a few questions to ask of you.

1- What would you do if you met said intellectual Christian? Would really hear his/her arguments? Would you be willing to agree to disagree....etc?

2- How are you going to prove intellect over the internet? If I say I am intelligent, are you going to believe me? I would hope not, as that would be rather unintelligent of you.

3- What do you consider intelligence? What signs do you look for in judging the intelligence in others?

4- If someone's answer were to strike your fancy, what would you do? Discuss via e-mail? This site is not exactly set up for such discourse.

These things are important to consider, assuming your question is at all serious (nothing personal, I'm a cynic).

You must remember some of the christians here ARE children. Many are 16 yearsold 17 18 19 20.
Maybe even younger

I know what you mean, there are the 'adult' christians that behave and speak the same as the younger ones

But try and be nicer , the younger ones deserve the right to be a little immmature

Bravo for your mother!!!! What happened to you? Why don't you believe?

Unfortunately, most Christians do not know their Bible very well. They have, however, made a choice to believe and that is a good step in the right direction. I still cannot quote my Bible from beginning to end, although I know many verses by heart. As for historical facts, I am learning those too. My children going to a Christian school helps too.

You sound like a very angry person. You don't have to stay on this site if you don't want to. Don't condemn young Christians. You should encourage them instead!!

Gee, is this a "pro" or "con" question? Can't tell. Just because you know the Bible inside and out doesn't mean you're right. If you claim Santa and the Easter Bunny wrote a 1000 page book about the meaning of life and you could quote it ad nauseum, so what?

Despite what most on here have said...you are speaking the truth. God is love, but He's also a lot more than just love. He's wrathful and He's jealous and He has a billion other qualities that we can't even comprehend. People need to start standing up for what they believe instead of getting walked on.

Your Bible-believing Christian Mom must be very proud that you have chosen "Blasphemist Bael" as your on-screen persona.

Most strong Christians know better than to come on this site and expect scholars. But every once in a while, there's actually a legitimate question that deserves an honest Biblical answer.

nicely, I evade movies that have offensive cloth as much as available, notwithstanding i assume i've got considered some that would not be repeated. I found out as a missionary that there is a distinctive feeling linked with distinctive genres of flicks. for an prolonged time, I had a confusing time even observing nicely-known television exhibits that portrayed murders, on a similar time as a plot component. those days the quite picture television exhibits (and that they are becoming to be lots extra picture and gory over the final 5 years) are much extra durable to take a seat by way of because of the fact they actually seem to empty non secular skill.

Tell me about your death? And what is beyond, the after life.

There is reveal knowledge (revelation) and observed knowledge (science). So what do you believe? Because what you believe with determine how you see everything around you.

From revealed knowledge we get God is spirit (wind) and he/she/it existed before and created everything you can observe. So your world is limited by what you can see?

So now, we come to the "stupid" Christians. They believe that the bible is the word of God as spoken through the prophets. There is no proof of God in the bible, it is assumed. This information is not an observation, but a revelation. You can choose to believe it or not.

As for "real, educated, intelligent, thinking", all are terms coming from the observed knowledge: science. Christian faith/believe [two English words denoting on Greek word], an active voice of faith, is a gift from God, grace. Faith in motion if you like.

But where does this faith/believing comes from. Definitely not from science and it is not from choice. Either you believe or you do not believe.

For the Christian, eternal life is a "hope". It is a hope that God (as reveal in the bible) will keep his promise. There are four accounts regarding Jesus life, death, and resurrection. Interesting enough, there is one account (Gospel of John) that talks about belief and non-belief. [You may want to read this as you are making your choice.]

One last point, you will see no prophets regarding man made symbols such as Santa and the Easter bunny, and frankly, I am amazed that you left out Halloween. There is no revelation regarding Santa in Christmas of bunnies in Easter, days denoting Jesus birth and God raising Jesus from the dead. But you tried to justify your non belief with material symbols.

Tell me about your death? And the after life? Something that does not come from observed knowledge.

You overdramatize and generalize ... "ALL we seem to get on this site" "Are ALL Christians..." "...make fools of you ALL".

Well hon, not ALL of us are "borderline retarded children", however some are not as mature or educated, this is true. Perhaps they do not have the verbal skills to "weave in the philosophies" as you say, but why do you bash them?

Isn't it possible that people are at different levels of maturity in their walk with Christ? How about showing a bit of maturity and understanding yourself.
