Your question might have had more impact if you had pointed out these basic truths. Sure a Muslim will die for his faith believing that he is going to Heaven, but his faith is based upon things that he has been taught. If he didn't believe what he had been taught he wouldn't die for a lie.
The Christians who died in the first century were people who had witnessed Jesus' life, death and resurrection. There beliefs were not based upon what someone told them but upon what Jesus had done. Therefore their deaths testify to the truth of the Biblical account because no one is going to die for a lie.

"I ask you if christianity isn't true then why do so many give their lives up for it"
What crappy logic. Because alot of people do it, it must be true?
So I guess you think David Koresh was the second coming huh? Or how about Jim Jones?
People die for their fatih all the time. Is allah the one true god because there are so many muslim fanatics?

During Bible times, there were no Christians.
There was a Jew in the Bible who was killed and tortured for his faith.

Christianity is hardly the only religion for which people give their lives. Quite the opposite. In fact, I don't think I've ever heard of a Christian suicide-bomber. Thank God, actually.

They still are being killed and tortured for their faith. Voice of the Martys has a prisonalert so you can pray for our brothers and sisters around the world who are being put to death and prison for their faith in Jesus Christ.

i would ask a question in response of your question.
When having a past like that why then would Christians resort to the same tactics to force people to join their religion?
The Inquisition?
The Salem Witch Trials?
The Burning Times?
The Crusades?
and what god of peace and love would allow his followers to do such things?

I would lay down my life without a second thought for Christ. He did it for me and it's the very least I could do. I will stand for Him and all of his Word forever! If someone felt that taking my life to "show" me my God won't save me, they are the one in need of saving. I would willing go to my savior for believing His promises. He tells me I may one day have to do just that. Revelations
God's promises are worth every sacrifice.

Dying for your faith is merely a sign of devotion, not one of correctness. C'mon man there's a bunch of satanists out there these days, we all gotta be smarter.
