Both appear to be an attempt to order a bewilderingly complex and terrifying world and to comfort the small minded from the fear of being insignificant?

The four gospels in the Bible were not the only gospels. They are the only gospels approved by the church. Shouldn't people have the right to make up their own minds about such matters. Does the church have the right to exclude such writings from the bible and prohibit people from reading them?

2 Samuel 6:6-7
6And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth [his hand] to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook [it].
7And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for [his] error; and there he died by the ark of God. (KJV)

If it's just a matter of faith, that is not what I call good solid evidence. What is your rationale for your belief. Am I mistaken or is no good, solid evidence for most of the things that any relions teaches? And I mean all religions. Seems like all of them say that it's all based on faith.

I'm sick of people telling me that God doesn't exist, then asking me to prove them wrong.
It's like being in grade school and me telling my science teacher that gravity doesn't exist, and to prove me wrong. I can't see it or touch it-BUT... the effects are observable. If I jump off the top of the school building I will suffer the consequences. Similarly, if I disobey (or follow) God's laws, I can observe the results. To me this is proof for God's existence.

I think i'm going to just ignore them from now on and only answer intelligent questions. The majority of negative questions are just there to insult Muslims and Islam and are a big waste of time. What do you think?

I've always learned in school that if i have sex with my sister, and she'd have babies, those babies could get all sorts of diseases and may end up being disabled.

I always thought this was nonsense, because I don't have a sister.

Anyway, incest is bad for the future babies.

Adam and Eve were founded or created or whatever. Their kids obviously commited acts of incest to populate the planet. I won't judge. Years later God flooded the entire planet, everybody died, except Noah and his wife. Which means the planet was re-populated again starting with incest.

I don't see all people being disabled or missing all sorts of chromosomes. Does that mean that scientificly double-incest takes away all the problems that are being caused from single-incest? Like in math - x - = + ?

Ah well, maybe I better ask this in the science section. Problem is that in the science section they don't buy these fairy tales.

Psalm 82
1[[A Psalm of Asaph.]] God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
2How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
3Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4Deliver the poor and needy: rid [them] out of the hand of the wicked.
5They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the most High.
7But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
8Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations. (KJV)

Does Psalm 82 acknowledge that there are other deities with whom the Lord works and over whom He presides and rules?

Nephi is forced by "the Spirit" to kill Laban. 4:10

"The Lord hath delivered him [Laban] into thy [Nephi's] hands." -- the Spirit 4:11

The Spirit said unto me [Nephi] again: "Slay him [Laban]." 4:12 (Why do it)

God kills bad people to achieve good ends. (The ends justify the means.) It's better to kill one person than have a whole nation die unbelievers. 4:13 (WOW)

Nephi obeys "the Spirit" by grabbing Laban by the hair and chopping off his head. 4:18

God destroys entire nations of "wicked" people and curses the land for their sakes. 17:37-38

God "sent fiery flying serpents" to bite people. (Num.21:6) 17:41
(ouch)

God will force people to eat their own flesh and drink their own blood. 21:26 (eww thats groose)

The members of "the great and abominable church" (the whore of all the earth) will kill each other and get drunk on their own blood. 22:13 (vampireism...stone them)lol
