From the beginning mankind has seen the trees, flowers, sunrise, stars, animals, birds, fruits, sunsets, rains, oceans, winters, summers, sun and moon, etc... All the works of his hands.
There will be no excuse on judgement day to not know there is a god.

As I Catholic, I do believe in God. Although atheist will argue that there is no scientific evidence that there is a God, they can easily dismiss it as a waste of time, but a true person of science will keep their options open. How can a fish prove that there is a higher form of life outside the fishbowl or if there is an ocean beyond its world if the fish has been living inside the bowl all its life? Science can't prove how the world or the universe began. All they came up with are theories that inculdes the "Big Bang Theory", and as long as it is a theory and not a fact, science can't explain everything, and if science can't explain everything, they should not rule out the unexplainable which includes the mystery of God
A Short Story
A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists." "Why do you say that?" asked the customer. "Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things." The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond, because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and un-kept. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist." "How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!" "No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside." "Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me." "Exactly!"- affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

Gravity is a measurable force and as you admitted you can observe its effects. Exactly how do you observe the results of disobeying gods laws in a scientifically measurable way? I have technically disobeyed gods laws at least 3 times a day for the last 25 years and I have never suffered any consequences. And if you say I will as I burn in h.ell, this can't be proved or measured. Also if you say good things happen to you when you follow god's laws, that can be attributed to the fact that the sun even shines on a dogs as.s some days. And to the people who have relatives that survived cancer etc. Do you really think god healed them or was it the team of doctors or the chemo or the radiation therapy, or the surgery. If it was god then why did you bother to go to the hospital? And by the way, have none of you ever heard of the term spontaneous remission?

Dude, that is because you can proof that gravity EXISTS! You can show people that gravity exists by explaining Newton's scientific laws. This just means that you can explain an existing thing. You cannot prove that something that does not exist. Let me give you an example. Lets say, I declare that there is a substance called Shabbalakkadingdong. Obviously there is no such thing, but you cannot prove its nonexistence. First, to prove that something is not present at the place, you should know the properties of the substance. Example, salt in water. I can prove that there is no salt in water because I know properties of salt and so I can evaporate the water to show the absence of salt. To know the properties of something, the substance should first exist in some other place. But since god does not exist in any place, it does not have properties and so I cannot prove that such a thing is non-existence. It is exaclty like trying to convince someone that there is no such thing called Shabbalakkadingdong.

OK, then answer this question: Do you believe that God is omnipotent (all powerful)? If so, then why did he NOT reveal himself to the Hindus, the Native Americans and the Chinese at the time of Jesus? For an all-powerful being this would have been easy, but instead he chose to create a few billion souls that didn't have a chance at getting in to heaven because they haven't heard "God's word". God created billions of souls that he is condemning to eternal damnation because they didn't "get the message" about God? Or that they "got a different message"? Do you have any idea how silly this sounds? Let the concept of "GOoDness" rule your life and advance in to the 21st century.
BTW: I can prove that God does exist - all I have to do is say that God is an IDEA, and an idea is something that exists. I can also re-define God to mean the "natural universe" and not the supernatural "old man with a long white beard on a golden throne in the sky" silliness, and its kind of hard to deny that when you are standing in it.

"Similarly, if I disobey (or follow) God's laws, I can observe the results."
Please show me how?
If you could show me how, I would believe in God in an instant.
The fact that I'm sitting at this computer and not floating around the room is concrete proof of gravity. Atheists are not blind deniers of reality - quite the opposite. Most of us would be happy to believe in God if there were a modicum of proof. In 31 years I've yet to find one (and I've searched) yet you blithely claim that proof is observable. Why deny us the wonderful proofs that you claim to have found? You could make yourself famous.

There is no proof whether any particular god exists or not. This is in and of itself evidence to me that there is none. I have a rather complex belief system though.
Simply stated, I believe that people have misinterpreted the existence of supernatural beings who have exerted influence over this planet. Perhaps one of them is the Judeo/Christian/Islamic God. Who knows? Noone.

Proof of God's existence is only as important as your willingness to keep believing.
Some people think that God is nature, and therefore anything shows that he is alive, since nature is omnipresent.
It doesn't matter if somebody gives you the most credible proof that God doesn't exist. If you believe in him, you'll make yourself believe he exists regardless.

people that ask that question are just lost. They need to realize just because something can't be seen doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I can recall many occasions where I felt the presence of god, I just think you have to embrace faith in order for him to let you recognize he is there. But just because someone doubts god at times doesnt make them a bad person, I think it jsut means they are human.

It is impossible to prove that God doesn't exist since he is thought to exist outside of the universe. It IS possible to show flaws with religions though, all of which have evidence against them.
